Eight Months Old and a Trip to Deer Camp

We took another trip down to deer camp last week. We had a blast! :) Jeff was with his dad when he shot a HUGE buck! We were so excited for him! Lydia even got her picture taken with Pops and the deer! :) Thanks Pops and Reedee for letting us come down and stay again!

Lydia turned eight months old on Friday...I can't believe it! Seems like time is just flying by!! She is on the move! She is getting into everything that she is not supposed to...and is loving every minute of it! She is starting to learn what she is supposed to play with and what she is supposed to stay away from. She will turn and look at me when she is getting into something she's not supposed to! I'm kind of nervous about what it's going to be like when we put our tree up tonight! Guess it's just part of the fun of having a little one!

Cheering for the UCA Bears! Thanks Uncle Shawn for the super cute shirt! :) (Don't worry...ASU is still my # 1 team!)

She started to wave in the past week or so...and it's so cute! Of course she just does it when she wants to, but I'm sure she will figure out when to do it soon! We started to put her in the grocery cart when we got to Wal-Mart, and she looks like such a big girl! It's like a whole new place to her! Before she was staring at the lights...now she sees everything! She can't stop looking around! It's so much easier to carry her into the store and restaurants now, and leave her huge car seat in the car!

Lydia LOVES to be read to. It is so sweet! She gets so excited when you get the books out...and if you don't get them out of the basket, she will crawl over to them and start pulling them out! I hope that she enjoys reading as much as I do when she gets older. Some of my best memories are of my mom reading books to us.

Her favorite book at the moment, "Ballerina Ball" (Thanks Uncle Matt and Aunt Beth!)

This is her other favorite thing to do with books besides read them...EAT THEM! Thanks Nena K for some books that she can eat, and not destroy!

We've got a full, fun and exciting weekend planned! Decorating for Christmas...Duck Season opens...Thanksgiving get togethers! I'm sure we will have tons of pictures to post! Hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Love,

Jeff, Sarah, & Lydia

Happy Birthday!!

This weekend was Uncle Craig and Aunt Pammie's birthday! Hope y'all had a great day! :)

"Happy Birthday Uncle Craig"

"Happy Birthday Aunt Pammie" (I've got to get a more recent picture!)

We went to Searcy...for the first time in almost 2 months! We had such a good time visiting with Granna, Grandmother and Uncle Craig! We even got to see Aunt Leanne and Eden for a little bit. Eden started crawling recently also...so Thanksgiving and Christmas should be really interesting and fun!!

Lydia started to clap over the weekend and it's so cute! It is such a polite clap. I can't get videos to upload on here, but I will try to get some action shots of her clapping soon.

Clapping with Granna and Uncle Craig

Look for new pictures of deer camp soon! We are planning on making a trip down there this week. Hopefully it won't rain on us all week! We are looking forward to spending some time with Pops and Reedee...and maybe we will come home with a deer!

Becoming More Mobile!

Well...life as we know it has really changed! Lydia started crawling on Friday...and has been going ever since! She is not completely up on her hands and knees yet...but trust me, she gets where she wants to go! :) And it always seems to be that she goes for things that she does not need! She will "crawl" towards the remote control...cell phone...computer cord...table legs...fire place (you get the point) faster than she will towards her toys! It is quite funny! We've really got to get busy baby-proofing our house!
Here are some pictures of her crawling:
"I'm almost there..."
"I got it!"

Who needs toys when I can chew on the rug! This is her fetish right now...AHH!
Such a silly girl
We are having so much fun with Lydia. It is so neat to watch her little personality come out! She is such a little clown! She is into everything now...and keeps us on our toes, but we love it!

Just hanging out in the laundry basket...

Hopefully one day she will love to help fold clothes! :)

Fun Filled Weekend

We had such a fun weekend! It started off with Halloween...and just got better! Saturday my best friend since 9th grade (a LONG time), Cassie, was in town and we got to hang out! We went to lunch and ran a couple of errands. It was so good to catch up and visit with each other. Wish we could do it more often!

Lydia loved playing with her "Aunt" Cassie!
Saturday evening we went over to Nena K & Papa T's house for Granddaddy's 84th birthday party! We had a wonderful time with the family! Lydia had a ball! She played...tried to help open his presents...rolled around.

Happy Birthday Great-Granddaddy!

With Uncle Shawn, Aunt Bethany and cousin Layla! Layla better get ready...Lydia is very interested in her!
With Aunt Alicia
Looks who is the center of attention...and she doesn't even know!!
Our weekend ended on Sunday with a great day at church and celebrating Nena K's birthday! We went out to eat after church Sunday evening at Buffalo Grill. Lydia colored a card for her and got her a picture album full of pictures. I think that she liked it! :)

Life as we know it is about to become even more interesting. Lydia is VERY close to crawling. Ahh! :) She wants to so bad and gets frustrated when she tries...and can't go anywhere. Sunday afternoon she got up on her knees and started rocking back and forth. We are having so much fun watching her change and learn new things. It's great! :)

Happy Halloween!

Well...Lydia's first Halloween has come and gone...and we had a blast with her! Our little bunny was so cute and had a great day! She is finally over her croup, but we are still fighting a runny nose. Hopefully that will be gone soon!
Here are some pictures from Lydia's first Halloween!
Lydia with "Jimmy the Scarecrow"-she LOVES him!
Taking her afternoon nap...preparing for her night of trick-or-treating!

Reaching for Daddy

"Don't even think about it..."

We made one stop trick-or-treating (sorry we missed you Reedee!)...and she was already pooped!

"Trick-or Treat" visit at Nena K & Papa T's

Lydia is continuing to change daily! She has become so active! We can't leave the room anymore unless she is strapped in her swing or jumperoo. If not, you never know where she will be when you get back! I think we should have made her a monkey for Halloween instead of a bunny! Here is her new thing she does when she is in her bouncy seat now!

Thank goodness for straps! If she is not hanging off the front...she is hanging off the side! The other day I turned around and her head was touching the floor! Crazy girl! She is trying to figure out how to clap and is really trying to crawl! It probably won't be too long. She is "talking" more...but still no words. We are waiting to hear that first "MaMa" or "DaDa"! We are happy that she is sitting up so well now. She loves to sit in the floor and play with all her toys! She is such a joy to watch and be around! We feel so blessed that God gave her to us!

She loves sitting in front of our fire and watching it. She will sit there forever...and is happy and content! It's so cute!

Watching "College Football Live" with Daddy

Tonight we are going to a birthday party for Granddaddy (Jeff's Mom's Dad)! We are excited to see everyone! And then tomorrow is Nena K's birthday!! Happy Birthday Granddaddy and Nena K! We love you!
