Let The Fun Begin!

We are so excited that Michael, Leanne and Eden have moved back to Arkansas! Eden and Lydia are 19 days apart and I can not wait to watch them grow up together! It's going to be so much fun! Yesterday we met Leanne and Eden for lunch at Jason's Deli! Craig was also in town, so he and Heather also came! We had a great time! Unfortunately Michael has already started his job, so he could not come. Maybe next time! :)

Over the weekend we went to Searcy to celebrate Uncle Kinky and Aunt D's 60th wedding anniversary. It was fun to spend time with family...and had some good cake! :) We love any chance to get together with our family! We always have a lot of fun...and of course Lydia gets no attention! ;)

Happy Anniversary!

Lydia continues to grow and change daily! She is "talking" so much now! It's so cute! She has also started laughing. We love it! She is sleeping really good! Still taking 3 naps a day...well, when we don't mess up her schedule! And she is sleeping through the night! It's the best! She goes to bed around 8 or 8:30 and is sleeping most nights until 7 or a little after. It's amazing how good you feel after a good nights sleep and not having to get up and feed her every 3 hours. She is so much fun after she has had a good nights sleep also! We are so thankful that she is sleeping so well. She is also getting bigger. We put on one of her newborn size dresses on Sunday for her to wear to church...and it was too little. I am happy that she is growing, but it did make me a little sad.

We are now looking forward to 2 fun events coming up! First, in about 20 days Matt and Beth will be in town for the week! We are so excited to see them and spend some time with them! Can't get here soon enough!

And then, in 39 days, Shawn and Bethany are getting married! We are so happy for them and can't wait for a new sister-in-law and aunt! :)

I Love To Play!

Lydia has really started to play with her toys in the last week or so. It's so much fun to watch her grow and learn. Instead of just sitting and looking off...she loves to interact now. She will grab at her toys and is trying to figure out how they work. She loves to jump in her jumperoo, sit in her bumbo seat, and bounce in her bouncy seat! She is also talking a lot more. When we talk to her she just gets all excited and talks back to us!! This afternoon I was singing with her and it was like she was trying to sing back with me. Too cute! :)

Playing in her Jumperoo

Her doctors appointment went well Friday. The doctor is really hoping that it's just dairy that is bothering her. We've had two more diapers with blood in them since Friday...but hopefully it is just getting out of her system. That's what we are praying for! The doctor told me to stay off of dairy until she is 10 months old...which is going to be really hard! But if it helps her...then I'll do it! I have to think before I eat or order anything now, which is sometimes hard!

Saturday night we celebrated Papa T's birthday. We had pasta...presents...brownies and icecream! FUN! Lydia was so excited all day when we talked about his birthday party! :) She gave him a picture of her...which I think he kind of liked! ;)

Official 4 Month Weigh-In!!

Here they are....
Weight: 11 pounds 14 ounces
Length: 24 1/4 inches

She is doing so good! She has gained a little over a pound in the past week and a half! Yikes! We thought that she was getting bigger, but had no idea she was growing that fast! Guess she hit a little growth spurt! She was so fun at the doctor's office. She was just smiling and playing around...well that is until she got her shots. She was not too happy about those! But after some loving from Daddy and Mommy and the rest of her bottle she was back to smiling again!

We are going to a gastro doctor on Friday morning to see if they can figure out why she is still having blood in her stool. Hopefully he will be able to help her out. She seems fine...but we need to know what is causing it. We are praying that she is just having trouble digesting dairy. Even though not eating dairy is hard on me...no milk, yogurt, ice cream, pizza, cheese, smoothies, etc....if it helps her then I can survive! :) We'll let you know what we find out!

4 Months Old...and FULL OF PERSONALITY!!

Lydia is 4 months old!! I can't believe it! In some ways it seems like it's gone by really quickly, but then it's hard to remember life without her. It has been so much fun the past week or so see her little personality come out. When we talk to her she just smiles and laughs. It is adorable. It will just melt your heart! It's so neat that she is starting to recognize us and our voices. She is also starting to realize when it's time for Jeff to come home from work. Seems like if she is taking a nap, she wakes up right around time for him to come home. He is out town tonight, and it was like she was looking for him all night. We can't wait for him to come home tomorrow! We've really missed him!

Here are some pictures that I took of her today....

My last post was getting too long...so I did not get to post all of the pictures that I wanted to! We had a wonderful weekend. Jeff was off on Friday, so we had a 3 day weekend with him. We love those weekends! On Friday, we went to see Pops. Reedee was out of town (we missed you!), so he got to spend all afternoon with Lydia and didn't have to share! Then on Saturday, we went over to Nena K & Papa T's for the afternoon/evening. Nena K had to go sing at a church in Cabot, so Papa T got to spend time with Lydia without sharing! Of course Lydia loved all the attention! :)

Right before bed...she was so tired!

Sunday, Jeff and I had nursery so Lydia went to the nursery for the first time on a Sunday morning. She did so well! There were two other babies in there that morning and she would just look at the other them and smile. Pretty soon they will be ruling the nursery! :)

Playing...

She was ready for a bottle and nap at this point!

I guess that's all for now! I'll let you know how our doctor's visit goes on Wednesday...and give you the official weigh in! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

We're Back!!

So...I have to be the world's worst blogger!! I just can not seem to find the time to sit down and get it done! I will try to do better...promise! :) This is going to be a long post...but I promise there will be lots of pictures to make up!

I love my bath!!

Lydia has grown SO much in the past month. It's been amazing to watch her! She has really started to talk, smile, and laugh. I love it! She is still sleeping quite a bit, but when she is awake she is so much fun to play with. She has started to sleep through the night, which is really nice. She is still waking up most nights a couple of times, but all she needs is her pacifier and she goes back to sleep pretty easily. There have been a couple of nights that she has slept the whole night...and not woke up one single time! Those nights are VERY nice!

Taking a nap

We went to Nashville for Memorial Day Weekend and Lydia got to finally meet her Uncle Matt and Aunt Beth. We had a wonderful time visiting with them and Michael, Leanne and Eden. Can't wait until Eden and Lydia get a little bit bigger and they can play together. It will be so much fun!

With Uncle Craig...just how he likes her still and quiet! :)

In June we had a very busy month! We had VBS, Mommy's birthday, Lydia's 3 month birthday, and Father's Day all in the same week! We took Lydia with us to VBS all but one night. She did so well! We had a good time celebrating Jeff's first Father's Day as "Daddy". Lydia picked out a really cute book and burp cloth for him! :)

Happy Father's Day!!

We had to take her to the doctor on Monday, June 30th and she weighed 10 pounds 11 ounces! She is really growing! She is wearing some of her 0-3 month clothes. Her newborn clothes are starting to get a little short on her. She is SO long! We go back to the doctor on July 16th for her four month check-up and shots. Can't wait to see how long she has gotten...but not looking forward to the shots again.

Our first 4th of July as a family...thanks "Aunt Cassie" for the cute dress!

On our way to our lunch date with Daddy

It seems like she is changing everyday just a little bit. I got started looking through all of her pictures last night and caught myself in tears. I can not believe how much she has grown. She still seems so tiny, but looking back at her pictures, she is a big girl now! We are so thankful that God has brought Lydia into our lives and that she is healthy. She is such a blessing to us.
