28 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 Weeks

Size of baby: 14.8 inches head to toe and a almost 2 and a quarter pounds (like a chinese cabbage)

Maternity Clothes: Wearing maternity pants because they are so much more comfortable! Mostly maternity shirts but some regular. Able to wear some of my spring/summer dresses from last year!

Gender: A baby BOY, Jack Henry

Movement: He is a very active little boy! Love feeling him move around ... and get the little hiccups! So sweet!

Sleep: Waking up every hour or so to roll over and/or use the bathroom. Thankfully I can usually go right back to sleep. Also love being able to take naps while Lydia is napping ... helps SO much!

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly

Cravings: Salads and fresh fruit

Symptoms: Just normal pregnancy stuff ... Trouble bending over, painting my toe nails, indigestion, etc. I also can hardly give Lydia a bath anymore. =( Thankfully Jeff does it most of the time!

Best Moment this week: Listening to Lydia talk about her "baby brother sister, Jack Henry"! Excited about going to the doctor tomorrow and hearing his heart beat!

Jesus Is My Best Friend

I'm guessing Lydia learned this song at church. She just started randomly singing it yesterday ... SO cute!! She starts out a little confused, but she finally gets there!

Here are the words in case you can't understand her ...

"Jesus is my best friend.
He's Always there for me.
On Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday"

Easter Egg Hunt

After Lydia's nap, we headed to Jeff's mom's for Easter dinner with her family and an Easter egg hunt with all the kids! Lydia was too cute running around, well, running as much as she could in her dress, and looking for eggs. She was not nearly as aggressive about finding them as some of the little boys. =)

She actually asked to take this picture! =)

REACHING for an egg under that bush. She tried really hard not to get dirty!

Found another one!!

Pausing for a break with Papa ...

And then with Mimi!

She had her few eggs and discovered there was chocolate inside of them! After that, she was done and ready for a little snack! ;)

CHEESE!!!

We had a wonderful Easter and loved getting to spend it with some of our family! We are so blessed!

Easter Morning

We spent Easter weekend in Searcy helping my grandmother move into a new house. It was a CRAZY busy weekend, but loved spending it with my family!

The Easter Bunny stopped by and left a little something for Lydia!

Checking out her stash ...

Love this little girl!

Trying on her new pajamas! =)

Our little family before heading out to church. Can't believe that in a few short months, we will be a family of 4! So excited!

She LOVES her Daddy!

She looked like a DOLL in her dress! Jeff and I found it @ the Rhea Lana consignment sale and it already had an "H" on it! Told Jeff it was meant to be! Hah! It was before we knew we were having a boy, so my reasoning was that if we were having a little girl, she would be able to wear it in a few years! Don't think Jack Henry will be wearing this dress ... but Lydia will be able to wear it for a while!

So thankful we were able to take time out of our weekend to celebrate our risen Savior! We went to my cousin's church Sunday morning and heard an amazing sermon and Lydia had a blast! When we asked her what she learned in church she said her usual answer "Jesus" ... but then she started telling us more. She said "Jesus and God were sad" and when we asked her why, she said "Jesus died on the cross for my sins" and then she went on to tell us "They pushed the rock and He was gone"! I about cried ... Even though I know she doesn't really get it, that little seed is being planted in her head and heart and we just pray that one day it will "click" with her.

Disney On Ice's Princess Wishes

Lydia's Mimi and Papa took us to see Disney's Princess on Ice last Thursday and Lydia had SO much fun!

Me with my favorite little princess before we left the house!

Just a warning ... I left my memory card at home, so I had to use my phone to take pictures. Major Mommy Fail! =( I was so mad at myself, but was just thankful I was able to watch Lydia take in all the fun and excitement!

Showing off her Tinkerbell wand!

Thanks Mimi and Papa for the fun and magical morning!!

Enjoying some cotton candy and watching the princesses skate!

I think her favorites were Ariel and Belle. She is still talking about them! Oh, and of course the dragon that spit fire out from Sleeping Beauty. She was not too sure what to think about it, but guess it made an impression on her! =)

On the way home sporting her Mickey Mouse crown!

I almost cried watching her as Mickey and Minnie came skating out. The look on her face was priceless ... she was in AWE! I love getting to see things through her eyes. It really is amazing. Hopefully one day we can take her to Disney World!

Outdoor Girl

Lydia LOVES going to the park and playing! So thankful we were able to get out last week before the weather got yucky and rainy and enjoy a morning at the park. We have a little park in our town that is really nice and hardly ever anyone else there. Lydia LOVES having the place to herself!

Love spending my days with her!

She is getting really good at climbing up this thingy. Love seeing the excitement on her face when she reaches the top.

She has discovered climbing up the slide ... and walking down!

"Hi, Mommy!"

Freaking out about a little bug she saw down the slide! Finally convinced her to come down ... but she was not too sure about it!

Check out the static in her hair!

Climbing up the BIG ladder all by herself. I can't tell you how many times she did this! Of course, I can't help her across the monkey bars, so she just comes back down. Thankfully she doesn't seem to mind too much. She does ask me almost daily if Daddy can help her across the monkey bars. Guess we need to take a trip to the park one night so he can!

Future softball player?!?

This is her new favorite thing to do with Jeff! They have the best time throwing the ball back and forth. She's REALLY good at it! We've got to get her a glove to use!

She concentrates SO hard ... and most of the time the ball goes right to him!

Daddy's Helper

Last week, we did a little work in our flower beds (new mulch, new flowers and plants) and Lydia wanted to help her Daddy out. He was piling up the mulch and I told her she could help him pick it up and put it in the box he was using. She picked up one little handful and started freaking out because her hands were getting dirty! So ... we went and found her shovel and bucket and she used that so she could stay clean! She's SO much like me in that she does not like to get dirty. It's so funny!

Here are a few pictures of her working VERY hard!

Look at the concentration!!

She worked on this one little pile forever ...
And loved every minute of it! She was so proud of all of her hard work and made sure Jeff knew just how much she was helping. She also helped give the plants some plant food and water when we were done. She's such a good little helper!

27 Weeks

Yes ... I have the same shirt on in both pictures!! =) Seems like I wore it a lot on "picture day" when I was pregnant with Lydia!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 27 Weeks

Size of baby: 14 1/2 inches head to toe and a almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower)

So sweet!

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good most nights. Every few days I have a rough night, but thankfully I can catch a nap on those days and it really helps!

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly

Cravings: Salads and fresh fruit

Symptoms: Just normal pregnancy stuff ... Trouble bending over, painting my toe nails, indigestion, etc. Started having headaches this week, but I think it's more allergies and not pregnancy related. I also can hardly give Lydia a bath anymore. =( Thankfully Jeff does it most of the time!

Best Moment this week: Listening to Lydia talk about her "baby brother sister, Jack Henry"!

I am feeling pretty good. I get winded VERY easily and have to watch over doing it. I think I am starting to have some Braxton Hick's contractions, which I don't remember having with Lydia. Planning on asking the doctor about them next week @ my appointment. I feel like I am WAY more conscience this time around and worry over every little pain, cramp and pressure that I feel. I am so thankful for everything going smoothly so far. Praying things continue to stay that way!

Easter Egg Dress

Lydia wore her dress my Grandmother made for her back in 2009! I was so excited that it still fit her as a dress! It's a little short, but with her cute pink leggings, she looked like a doll! Here is her picture in the dress from the past 3 Easters! She's growing up WAY too fast!
She is a "Daddy's Girl" for sure!

And when Daddy is not around ... She's a "Mommy's Girl"! =)

Our Week

This past week has been a busy, but fun week! We spent A LOT of time outside playing and really enjoyed the warmer temperatures being back ... even though they left for a few days! I am so thankful that I am able to stay at home and spend the day with Lydia. Yes, some days are stressful and I want to run FAR away ... but a little smile or hug from my sweet little girl makes it all worth it. Here are a few random pictures from our week.
This girl LOVES some bubbles! We have spent SO much time outside this past week playing with bubbles! She has finally figured out how to blow them on her own and it's so cute to watch her pucker up those little lips and blow. We also found her bubble machine Pops and Reedee got her last year. It is awesome! I was starting to run out of air blowing bubbles, and this little machine helps SO much!

She collected pine cones at Papa and Mimi's house and loved dumping them out and counting them. She is getting really good at counting. She gets a little mixed up in the "teens" but once she gets to twenty and thirty she is good to go!

Our little family before our walk one night. Can't believe in a few short months we will have a little boy in our arms to join us on our walks! So excited!

Lydia FINALLY decided to start using her pedals on her tricycle! For the longest time she would just push herself with her feet on the ground and would wear out so quickly she would hardly ride. Well, now that she has figured the whole pedaling thing out she LOVES to ride. She is getting really good! Her favorite thing to do is ride down the dip at the end of the driveway!

Jeff's mom had to have her appendix taken out last Monday, so Lydia and I went and picked up some balloons and went to visit her in the hospital. Lydia held these balloons from the time we left the flower shop until we got to Mimi's room.

Studying up for her trip to see Disney's Princess on Ice this week!! She is so excited to be going with Mimi and Papa! I can't wait watch her.

Ever since Lydia got sick last week after her shots, she would not hardly eat anything. Finally, on Tuesday morning she ate like a champ! Guess she was STARVING! So glad she is feeling better.

 Love this little girl!

So thankful for her! God has blessed our lives so much since she was born.

Zoo With Friends

We went to the zoo last week with Lydia's friend Brailey and she had the best time!! Love this picture of them watching the tiger.

The grizzly bear is finally out of hibernation! Every time we go, Lydia wants to see the bear and he is always sleeping!

 Are they not too cute?!?

 Best smile I could get!

I thought it was hard to get a picture of Lydia looking at the camera ... it's even harder with 2 little girls! Hah! I'm sure I will experience this a lot in the future!

 Peek-A-Boo!

Lydia rode the merry go round for the first time. She was not too sure about it at first ...

But it didn't take long for her to start smiling and laughing!

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back with Brailey and her mom Missy again! Lydia has the best time just running around and looking at all the animals. After we go, Lydia always prays and thanks God for all of the animals! It's so sweet!
