When Daddy's Away...

**I've been waiting to post this because I thought that I had put pictures of the week from Mom's camera on a cd...and when I put the cd in, there is nothing on there! :( So, here is a post with just a few pictures I had on my camera!

Jeff is in San Diego this week for work, so Lydia and I have been in Searcy. We've had a blast playing and spending time here! Our weekend started out with our niece Eden's 1st Birthday Party! She was adorable opening all of her presents and eating her cupcake!

Lydia's Birthday Party Madness has begun! I'm trying to make a list of everything that needs to be bought and done before the party! Hopefully it will all get done! Mom and I decided that we would try to practice on making Lydia's birthday cake while I was here..and we had so much fun doing it! It actually turned out pretty cute! Here is a little slide show of the cake! Of course when we do the real thing in a couple of weeks, it will be pink and girlie!

Lydia is doing really good with her standing. She has great balance...I know one of these times she is just going to take off walking! On Saturday night, she stood up in the middle of my Grandmother's floor. All on her own! I couldn't believe it!

We've had a great time in Searcy, but we are ready for Daddy to be home! We've missed him so much, and I know that Lydia will be so happy when he walks through the door tomorrow night!

A Taste of Spring...

Lydia and I got out after lunch to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having today! It was just too pretty to stay inside! We went on our first walk of the year...and are looking forward to many more to come! I am so ready for spring to be here!! I love watching everything start to turn green and bloom (even though my allergies don't like it!). Too bad there is a chance of snow flurries Friday...only in Arkansas! :) Here are a few pictures from before our walk...

I think Lydia enjoyed the walk. She passed out about half way through! She looked so peaceful! I wanted to get a picture, but of course I left the camera in the garage, and as soon as we got onto the driveway she woke up! Oh well...maybe next time!

11 Months Old...and Happy Valentine's Day!

Lydia turned 11 months old on Valentine's Day! :) We had a wonderful weekend just hanging out and being with each other! Here are some pictures from our morning...

Jeff and I were able to go out on Saturday night to dinner and a movie! It is the first movie that we have gone to in a year! We saw Coraline in 3-D! It was a good movie, a little creepy, but good! Thanks Nena K and Papa T for coming out and keeping little bit! Thanks for keeping her and letting us have a night out!

Back To The Dr. ...Again

I had to take Lydia back to the doctor again Tuesday morning...she just can not get rid of the crud! I feel so bad for her! They put her on amoxicillin again, so hopefully that will knock it out. Not only does she not feel good, she has about 4 teeth trying to come through. One of her top middle teeth has popped through...so only a matter of time before we don't have a toothless little grin anymore. :( She has done really well with the teething, so that has been a huge blessing!

We spent the weekend in Searcy, which was very nice! We always enjoy going and visiting with family and getting away for a little bit. Of course Lydia enjoys all of the attention and showing off her new tricks! She is becoming more and more vocal and getting around with her walker stroller very well. This morning she was walking her way around the coffee table like it was nothing. I'm just waiting for her to take off...but I'm not pushing her! We are enjoying the last little bit of freedom that we have left! ;)

Her newest trick is dancing! It is adorable! I wish that I could get videos to post on here...I guess I need to try and figure that out. She shakes that little booty of hers and gets down! She also LOVES to sting things out. If anything is put up in a basket or box she can't stand it! :) Whether it's books, hats, bows, bath stuff, laundry or her diaper bag it all has to come out! The other day I found her behind the couch and she had pulled every last thing out of her diaper bag! It kept her busy for a good 10-15 minutes, so I just let her play!

Silly Silly Girl

Lydia has developed a little personality, or I guess I should say BIG in the past few weeks! She is really turning into a little clown! It is so fun to watch it change and develop daily! She has started making this funny face and she LOVES to do it when I get the camera out! Here are just a few pictures of her making her silly face...

Unfortunately, we had to take Lydia back to the doctor on Friday. She woke up Thursday running fever, coughing, and had a runny nose. They wanted us to bring her in just to make sure she wasn't getting RSV. We were glad when they checked her out and said that it is just a cold, but it hasn't been too much fun. Poor girls nose is running non-stop, and she is struggling to breath. Hopefully the medicine that they gave her will clear it up before too long. I know that she is ready for it to be gone!

We've had a little bit of luck getting Lydia to eat things other than baby food. She had her first taste of cinnamon toast on Saturday morning with Daddy. She LOVED it! She also had some noodles and chicken for dinner, and yesterday ate a few bites of a chicken nugget and pudding. Hopefully before long she will no longer need baby food and will eat "big girl food"! I've been really worried about her not eating real food, but then I remembered that her adjusted age (since she was 6 weeks early) is only 9 months, and some things she does is right along with that age. Guess she likes to keep things interesting! :)

She has started to "walk" using her doll stroller that my mom got her for Christmas. It is so cute! At first she was a little apprehensive and would freak out, but now she goes until she runs into something! She then "fusses" until you come and get her straightened out, and off she will go again! Made us both realize just how big she is getting...and we know before long she will be getting around this out without that stroller!

Can you tell she's a little wild...you better get out of her way!

Look at me Mommy!

Last Sunday, Brother Carroll preached out of 1 Thessalonians3:11-13..it was such a great message on praying for your children. Since she has been born, or even before she was born, we've prayed that God would help us to be godly parents and to help us raise her to be a godly girl. He brought out three prayers that we should be praying as parents, and it's something that I am praying for Lydia.

**Send the right people into her life (vs. 11)

**Stretch her heart to include others (vs. 12)

**Stabilize her so that she will not be moved (vs. 13)

She means the world to us and we are praying that God will do these things in her life.
