Fun With Family!!

Swinging with Nena K

We've had so much fun the past couple of weeks with our family! We feel so blessed to have wonderful families! My brother Matt and his wife Beth were down from Michigan last week and we were able to spend quite a bit of time with them. It was so good to see them!

Spending time with Aunt Beth and Uncle Matt

We went to my dad's house and got to visit with them one night. It was good to visit with everyone...and we had some good food! :)

JoJo with Eden and Lydia (poor girl was exhausted!)

We stayed with Grandmother while we were in Searcy...and had a great time! She took good care of us while we were there! She cooked breakfast every morning (not so good for the diet!) and dinner most nights! She loves having Jeff to cook for! :) While we were there we started feeding Lydia rice cereal because we were having some sleep issues. She did so good with it! I think that she actually likes it!

Look at that grin!!

We miss you guys already!

College Football has started!!

We've been putting her in the front of her stroller for our walks...and she loves it! She crosses her little legs and just looks around. It's adorable!

We are looking forward to a long weekend! Shawn and Bethany get married next weekend...so we've got a lot to look forward to! Lydia will get to go to her first wedding! :) We'll be sure to take lots of pictures!

Five Months Old!!

"I'm FIVE months old!"

Lydia turned 5 months old on Thursday! It's hard to believe! The time has just flown by! We are just so thankful that she is healthy...growing...and happy! I think that I've come to the realization that our house will never be quiet again! She is constantly making some kind of noise. Whether it's cooing, "talking", growling, laughing, or her new little noise (not sure how to explain this one!!)! She is just too cute! She is sleeping well most of the time, which is so nice!

This is how I've found her here lately when she wakes up from her nap. I'll go in to check on her...and she's just laying there...happy and awake!

We've enjoyed watching the Olympics the past week. Lydia's eyes are glued to the TV when they are on! :) I think that Jeff has been counting down the days until college football starts since January. He is so excited that it starts in less than 2 weeks! So, ready or not...here it comes!
I'm sure this will be the scene at our house a lot this fall!
Here are some pictures from this week...

She's really starting to play in her jumperoo! Discovering the toys and starting to really jump! It's so much fun watching her grow and learn!

Having a little "tummy time" in her pj's

Such a little clown...I think we may have our hands full!

"What Happens at Grandma's stays at Grandma's"...this shirt scares us! :)

Hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and enjoys the cooler weather! I know we're going to enjoy it! We finally get to see Uncle Matt and Aunt Beth tomorrow! We're so excited to spend the week with them! And only 3 weeks until Uncle Shawn and Bethany get married!

When Daddy's Away....

THE GIRLS WILL PLAY!!!

Jeff had to go to Fayetteville Monday - Wednesday this week, so Lydia and I headed to Searcy. We had such a good time hanging out with Uncle Craig, Granna, and Grandmother. Of course we missed Daddy...but we had fun! Aunt D had picked some pears and apples for Grandmother and I to play with! We made fresh applesauce and pear preserves. It was so much fun learning new stuff with Grandmother! Some of my earliest cooking memories are of making chocolate chip cookies with her. I'm glad we can still make a mess in the kitchen! :) I had no idea that it was as easy as it was! Hopefully when Lydia is able to start eating "solids" I'll be able to make her baby food.

We started with fresh pears (and apples)...

And ended up with applesauce, pear preserves...
...and homemade apple strudel
Lydia learned to "growl" while we were in Searcy. We have no idea where she picked it up from...but she does it all the time. When Jeff woke her up this morning, that was the first thing she did. It is so cute to look at this cute little girl...and then she growls at you! She is growing, her hair is finally coming in (and it looks like it might be blonde!!) and getting more and more of a personality everyday. I feel like I can almost see her growing!

Only 11 more days until we get to see Uncle Matt & Aunt Beth! We can hardly wait!!! And only 4 weeks until Uncle Shawn gets married! We've got a busy month ahead of us! A lot of firsts for Lydia...so there will be lots of pictures! :)
We are so blessed to have such a happy baby! Here are a few pictures of her...just being her happy little self! :)
