Family Fun Friday

We love our "Family Fun Fridays"!! We had such a wonderful day today spending the whole day together as a family. =)

We started off the day with a little Krispy Kreme Donuts!

Jack Henry had never tried them before ... he gobbled it up faster than I could put it on the table for him! He would shovel it in as fast as he could and then point to the donut and sign "more"!

After his nap, we went to the pool with Mimi!

Lydia posing in her floatie. =)

We were so happy that Jeff could go with us finally! It was the perfect day ... cloudy for the first bit and then the sun came out. The temperature was amazing!

Me and my little cuddle bug. ;)

For dinner we went and had some yummy catfish.

Another first for Jack Henry ... and he LOVED it! Lydia also finally tried hush puppies and she devoured them! We've been telling her for the longest time she would like them if she would only try them, but she refused. Glad she finally gave in and tried them out.

After dinner, Lydia decided she wanted a sno-cone for a treat. =)

It was a little bit warm (don't you love his spiked up hair!), but this guy was a trooper. He's staring down Jeff and Lydia in this picture waiting for his next bite.

So glad that we will be able to continue our family fun days into the fall. With Jeff's schedule, he is off during the day on Friday since he has to work at night. Can't wait to see what all we can get into!

Another Random Post

I have SO many pictures ... and feel like I never have time to blog. When I do have "time" and the computer is free, I am either too tired to think or find something else to take up my time! I do have good intentions though. ;)

Jack Henry with his birthday present from Howl. His very own stAte snack holder and cute little birthday card.

Having a little bedtime snack with Daddy.

 Sweet sweet girl

Jack Henry FINALLY figured out how to get his snacks out of his little cup. It has made shopping trips SO much more peaceful. They have to be quick though, because he eats them SO fast! ;)

It's been WAY too hot to go outside and play, so we've been having some movie parties with our "friends".

Pretty girl with her new haircut, new dress and new stAte hair bow! She's growing up WAY too fast for me.

Little man "drinking" out of his sippy cup. Poor guy LOVES his bottle and really isn't a fan of the sippy cup. Not sure what we are going to do ...

I Love Rhea Lana - Shopping

While I enjoy consigning with Rhea Lana ... I LOVE shopping at Rhea Lana! You can't beat the deals. We basically buy all of Jack Henry and Lydia's clothes for 2 seasons at each sale. It's amazing!! It's WILD and CRAZY, but so much fun! =) I love getting home with all our goodies and figuring up how much we paid for each piece. There have been a couple years where we paid a little over $2 for each piece! You can't find deals like that any where!

Love shopping for these two! Don't they look cute in their Rhea Lana finds?!?

Jeff and I started going to sales right after I found out I was pregnant with Lydia. So, we've been going  for 5 years now and try to hit all the sales close to us. Personally, I think Jeff has more fun than I do picking out clothes, but I don't think he would admit it! ;) When we can, we make a date day/night out of it, which is always fun!

Here are some of my favorite outfits and things I love about shopping at Rhea Lana ...

 Deals -
Two of the best that I've found. We bought the green dress (already monogrammed!) last Spring at an amazing price, and she's was able to wear it again this year. The pink outfit was a STEAL! She's worn it going on 3 years now. LOVE when that happens!

 Memories -
First and Last Day of School pictures

Cuteness-
Love finding cute clothes that are affordable and look brand new.

 Sweetness -
Loved these two outfits!

 Pajamas -
My kids LIVE in their pajamas! There are days when we don't get dressed and it's SO nice! Pajamas can be so expensive to buy, but you can find them at Rhea Lana that look brand new and have a pair for every day of the week!

 Play -
When you get great deals on clothes, you don't care if your kid drips red sno-cone on her WHITE pants or of she digs in the dirt in her cute clothes. If the stains don't come out, no biggie!

 Holidays -
Love finding cute shirts for the different holidays throughout the year and not having to pay a fortune for something they will only wear once or twice.

Thanks, Rhea Lana for helping us clothe our kids in cute clothes at an affordable price!!

I Love Rhea Lana - Consigning

I LOVE Rhea Lana consignment sales! I have been consigning for over 3 years and plan on doing it as long as I can. It's an AWESOME and EASY way to make money without the work of having a garage sale. It takes some time, but it is totally worth it. It's so nice to be able to take the money made from sales and use it to shop (more on that in another post!)! The team at Rhea Lana has made consigning with them very simple and their website is user friendly. I LOVE being able to check my sales several times through out the day on the computer or my phone and see how much has sold. I  become a little obsessive about it ... but love watching my total go up! Another plus about being a consignor, you are able to shop EARLY before the sale is open to the public! =)

Here are a few tips if you want to consign ...

-The first thing you need to do is gather up your clothes, wash them and make sure they are in great condition. You will then want to sort them by gender and size. This will make it MUCH easier when you enter your items online. It will also make drop off go much smoother and more quickly.

-You will want to price your items to sell! Don't overprice, or you will more than likely go home with a lot of clothes.

-You will need tags like these ... You can find them at Walmart and Office Depot. Try to buy them early because they seem to sell out quickly when Rhea Lana season starts and they are really hard to find!

-You will also need plastic hanger (NOT wire) and safety pins.

-This is how your hanger and tag should be. The hanger should be facing left (I always picture a question mark to remember!) and your tag should be placed on the right side, towards the top. This makes it easy when tagging and also shopping! Everything is facing the same direction and tags are easy to find.

-When you enter your items online, there will be a # that corresponds with the item. If you will # your tags, it will make tagging items when you drop off a little quicker. If your items get out of order, it will be easy to get them back in order.

-There are a few steps when getting your shoes ready ...

One. Make sure your shoes are clean and scuff free. If possible, loop the shoes together so they have less of a chance of getting separated. Attach your tag to the shoes.

Two. With masking tape, put consignor #, size and price on the bottom of BOTH shoes. That way IF they get separated, they can be put back together and hopefully sell!

Three. Use galloon ziplock bags and also put consignor #, size and price on the bag. Makes it a lot easier on the buyer when they are sorting through the baskets of shoes.

Four. Put shoes down in bag and they're ready to go!

For more information, check out Rhea Lana's website. It is FULL of information on consigning and also all of the dates for the sales. Like I said, it's work getting everything together, but it is totally worth it.

Going To See The Cheetahs

After being out of town Tuesday and Wednesday, Jeff came home with good news that he was off Thursday! We were all SO excited! Seems like every week he's been out of town this summer the kids have been sick and it's been pretty stressful. We let Lydia pick out something fun to do and she wanted to go to the zoo and see the new cheetah exhibit.

Loaded up and ready to go!

Lydia wanted to ride the carousel when we got there, so her and Jeff hopped on. Well ... she decided she didn't want to ride a horse or like the LOUD music! I do think she liked snuggling up with her daddy though! =)

Jack Henry and I watching them go 'round and 'round.

Next, she wanted to feed the fish. She loves doing this!

 Love them!

Me and my lil man watching the fish.

Love these kiddos! Sometimes it's still crazy to me that I am 1) am mom and 2) have TWO kids!

 Daddy and the kids

I've never seen the giraffe sitting on the ground. She (or he) is so beautiful! Think they may be my favorite animals at the zoo. She just sat there and stared at us the whole time.

After the giraffes, we went and found the cheetahs ... and I didn't get a picture! They were pretty far away and just laying in the grass (don't blame them because it was pretty hot!), so I didn't get a picture. Maybe next time.

Lydia was asking over and over again to see the birds ... and after our last experience (HUGE rat jumping down and running RIGHT in front of me) I said I would NEVER go back in there again. I stuck to my word and let Jeff take her while Jack Henry and I checked out the huge alligator. I like animals behind glass much better!

Crazy girl on the way home ... Seriously think she was getting delirious! She cracks me up!

The night of Jack Henry's birthday party, we had probably the worst night we've had since he was born. He was up almost all night. I THINK he had 2 2-hour stretches that he slept after teething tablets and Tylenol. We thought he was just over stimulated and maybe had too much sugar with the cake, so we went ahead and got ready to go to church.

We attempted to take pictures ...

 Didn't quite work out ... =)

First time he was able to see the train! =)
(Don't you LOVE his brown plaid pants?!? Got them at Old Navy for less than $3!)

Turns out he had some sort of fever virus. =( When we got home from church I thought he felt warm, and took his temperature. It was 102.7. =( He ran a fever until Tuesday evening and was pretty miserable. Unfortunately the only thing I could do was give him Motrin and Tylenol and try to keep him comfortable. Hated seeing him that way, but glad it didn't last longer than it did!

Poor guy all tuckered out after dropping Lydia off at Mimi's house. He hardly ever falls asleep in the car ... but he did 2 days in a row this week. I knew he must feel bad!

Loved spending some one-on-one time with this little guy while Jeff was out of town and Lydia was at her Mimi's!

Look who has taken over the nap mat ... =)

Special Guests!

While Jeff and I were in Bentonville, I got a call from Craig saying he wanted to secretly RSVP to Jack Henry's birthday party! I was SO surprised and SO happy! We had not seen them since their wedding and things were so crazy then, we didn't really get to visit much. So, it had been WAY too long since we had seen them. The hard part was ... he told me not to tell anyone! Eek! I did it though, and they were able to sneak in and surprise Mom!

After the party, we headed over to Michael and Leanne's so we could hang out and visit. It wasn't long enough ... but I'm glad we had the time that we did!

Aunt Tiffy and Uncle Craig with the big girls

The girls playing a little dress up

After they got bored with that, they decided they wanted to go outside. When it's 100* outside, there's only one thing to do ... play in the WATER!

If only you could have heard the squealing and laughing going on! Poor neighbors!
Somehow Tiffany ended up outside playing "softball" with the girls. She must really love those girls! =) This was Lydia's first time to use a bat ... She didn't do too bad! Crazy thing was, she did better batting left handed. Wondering if we are going to have two kids that use both their right and left hands. Wouldn't that be crazy?!?

They LOVE their Aunt Tiffy!

We waited a little too late to get a picture of them with all the nieces and nephews (minus Brisco =( ) ... Jack Henry was WAY passed tired and ready for bed!

So this was the best we got!

Can't wait to see them again in a few weeks and hang out at The G House!! It's going to be SO much fun ... Hope my mom and aunt are ready! =)
