Girl's Night!

This is the first night since football season has started that Lydia and I have been home together. She's either been @ Papa & Mimi's or we have been in Searcy. We marked the occasion by having a little girls night! We started the night off with dinner with Jeff, Papa and Keri!! Then we headed out to start our night!

Can you tell she was excited about our girl's night?!? =)

First taste of popcorn! She really liked it!

"I love girl's night!!!"

Love having a little girl to share girly movies and popcorn with!

Lydia was extra cuddly tonight and I took full advantage of it!! Love snugglin' on the couch with her while she watched Dora!

After I got in bed ... I added a little extra to the popcorn for my movie!

One of my favorite treats ... popcorn and M&M's!

We miss Jeff being home with us ... but it sure is fun to have a girl's night every now and then! Praying that as Lydia gets older, we can continue doing this!

Lydia and Jeff having a little pre-nap snack today! I made some oatmeal cranberry white chocolate chip cookies and it made for the perfect snack! =) He is the best daddy in the world! He loves spending time with her ... even if it's sitting at a table way too small and having a tea party! I love it ... and also pray that they continue having their own daddy/daughter time as she gets older!

Lydia's First Trip To The Zoo

To celebrate fall, even though it still feels like the middle of summer, we took a trip to the zoo today! It was Lydia's first time, and she LOVED it! She talked about it all morning before we went and the whole way there she kept saying "I go to zoo". I think she thought we were never going to get there! Hah!

Family Picture! =) Jeff's getting really good at taking pictures of us!

Our tour guide!! She loved looking at the map when we would leave one exhibit and tell us what animal she wanted to go see next! She knew what she wanted to see and was not satisfied until we saw that specific animal!! First it was the elephant, then the giraffe, next was the bear and last was the gorilla! This girl knows what she wants!

Lydia checking out the giraffe. She was not sure what to think when he started walking her way! She's used to Granna's giraffe that just sits there!

Daddy's little girl!

Looked like this giraffe was doing yoga or Pilate's! So cute! The giraffes were my favorite! They are beautiful!

Another favorite of Lydia's ... the waterfall! =) Too bad we could not get in ... it was SO hot!

Beautiful tiger ... This was Jeff's favorite!

Female lions laying around! Poor things! I know they are ready for some cooler weather like the rest of us!

Checking out the lion. We are not sure what he was looking at, but something through the fence had his eye. We looked at him through the fence and he never moved! It was kind of scary!

Lydia and I in front of the bears!

Lydia has told us the bears were her favorite animal at the zoo!

Watching the gorillas!

These two were hilarious to watch!! They would play and goof off! Just like kids!

One hot little girl! Hopefully next time it will be a little bit cooler when we go!

Perfect kids meal toy ... "If You Give A Moose A Muffin"! She could hardly wait for Daddy to read it to her!

Chick-Fil-A ... Perfect way to end a great morning!!

Family, Friends and Football

We had a wonderful weekend! It included family, friends, and of course football! Now if only we had some fall temperatures to go along with it, it would have been the perfect weekend! =)

Lydia and I headed up to Searcy Friday morning to spend some time with Granna, Gigi and Uncle Craig while Jeff worked. Of course, we had a great time! Lydia loves being in Searcy @ "The 'G' House"! Then Lydia stayed in Searcy while Jeff and I went up for the ASU football game Saturday.

Lydia posing in her new ASU shirt!! Is it not adorable?!? And of course she looked like a little cutie in it!

Helping Grandmother open a birthday present while watching the Razorback game with Uncle Craig.

Outside putting out some corn for the deer with Daddy! She was SO excited!!

At the Arkansas State and University of Louisiana-Monroe game. We had a blast!!

Lovin' their new field!! It looked so sharp!

Jeff and I during the game!! Love spending time with him! I was not a football fan before I met him, but now I love watching it! Of course, he probably gets tired of me asking questions all the time! I was starting to feel like Lydia saying, "What happened?"! So glad that he puts up with me though!!

Whoohoo!! Red Wolves win! It was a really good game!! So glad that we were able to see friends while we were up there. We watched the game with Jeff's old roommate Jon and his wife Jessica. It was great to see them! Then ... we got to see Cassie!! Have not seen her in forever so it was great to catch up! She was so amazing to let us stay with her after we had a little hotel mix-up!! You're awesome, Cass!! Can't wait to come visit again!!

This is what Lydia was putting corn out for ...

This is one of the deer that come up to Mom's backyard to eat and hang out! Isn't it wild?!? Lydia loves to watch them and talks about them constantly while we are in Searcy. This is the biggest one that they've seen since they have lived there. There are several more bucks and a couple little babies. They are adorable!

Lydia and her little corn cup!

Her serious face and crazy hair!

Another Day @ the Park!

Lydia and I took advantage of a nice morning and went to the park for a walk and then some play time! She had a blast, as always!

This picture makes me want to cry ... where did my little girl go?? She is growing up WAY too fast!

She LOVES to slide!! Not a fan of the swings, but give her a slide and she's content for the longest time!

Asking ... or telling!! ... me if she can go up the slide!

Checking out all that is going on around the park. She loves to observe all the other kids and watch what they are doing. Think she gets that from me ... I'm such a people watcher!

Here lately anytime anything is dark (the garage, back of our closet, outside ...) she calls it a dark cave. She discovered this tunnel thing under the stairs on the slide and called it a dark cave. She loved playing in it!

She also had fun swinging around this pole under the slide. She kept saying "I bizzy"! =) Love toddler language!

"The look" ... must be genetic! =) I got it from my mom ... and I guess Lydia already has it from me! We may be in trouble!

Whoohoo! Check out that hair!! =) Getting long and blonde!!

Love this little blue eyed girl!

One tired and dirty ... but happy little girl!

Random Phone Pics

I finally figured out how to get the pictures off of my new phone and on to the computer. Figured I would do a post with all the random pictures I have!

Lydia cheesin' in her new hat for the winter! Can't wait for it to get cool enough for her to wear it!

Lydia and ALL her accessories! 4 necklaces, 5 bracelets, 1 ring, shades, pink purse and a flower in the hair!

She had heart shaped turkey sandwiches for lunch one day and loved them!

Is this not the sweetest picture? I LOVE pictures of Lydia sleeping! I can not resist them!

Mimi sent this to me while we were in Branson. This is her serious face! They were on the way to the Hooten's for dinner and I think she was really nervous about it! They said she was quiet the whole way there and once they got there, she CLUNG to Mimi and would not let go for the longest time!

Watching a little TV together. She loves her Daddy!

Eating ice cream @ Fro-Yo's in Searcy.

Cuddling after her nap. Love when she lets me cuddle with her. It doesn't happen often and I take full advantage of it when she lets me!

Love this girl and her sweet smile!!

Checking out what's going on @ the park.

She looked so old in her shorts and little sneakers. =( I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Her first big boo boo. =( Diving for the beach ball on the sidewalk is not a good idea! Thankfully she didn't cry too much!

Check out that blonde wavy hair! It's growing really fast now!! Can't wait until we can get it in a ponytail easily!

As you can tell ... she loves her jewelry!

Sippin' on her water @ Lenny's. This was after we took pictures outside .. her hair was straight when we got there to take pictures and she started sweating and this is what happened! Can't get over how it curls up! Can't wait to see if it stays that way once she gets a haircut!

We have SO much fun with Lydia and can't get over how fast she is growing up! She amazes us daily with the new things she learning!! Can't believe she will be 2 1/2 next week ... where has the time gone?!?
