Halloween - Part 2

We had a wonderful Halloween. Started it off with a great sermon at church, followed by lunch with friends, a nap, and then a Halloween party with our small group! So thankful for all the people God has placed in our lives the last year or so.

We fixed Lydia up a little Halloween bucket. She was so excited to get into it after her nap today!

As she was opening her card, she was peeking to see what all was in her bucket!

This girl LOVES cards!! She gets so excited about "reading" them.

Out of all the stuff in her bucket, she picked out the sucker and was pretty satisfied with just that! The little things in life! =)

Before we left for small group, I tried to get a few pictures of her outside with our pumpkins and mums while they still look good. Poor Jack is starting to look a little icky! Lydia's going to be so sad when we have to throw him away. =(

This was the best picture I got of her ...

Jeff pulled up while we were outside and she was SO excited about Daddy being home! After that ... the photo shoot was over!

 Posing with Daddy!

 My little pumpkin!

Lydia had so much fun playing with Darby tonight! Hopefully she didn't destroy her room too bad!! Think she loved all the "new" toys in there.

Such sweet girls!

Happy Halloween!!

 Happy Halloween, from Abby Cadabby!!

We let Lydia pick from a few different costumes this year, and this is who she wanted to be! She LOVES Abby! She is the newest Sesame Street character. Lydia has a few books with her in them, and adores her!

We tried to get out this past week and make a few early Halloween visits. She loved showing off her costume and seeing family.

Our first stop was Grandaddy (or as Lydia likes to call him, Cookoo) and Bonnie's.

Lydia loved rolling the ball back and forth with Grandaddy!

We tried to find some music on TV because she wanted to dance, but this is what Grandaddy put it on. I think she was a little overwhelmed by the HUGE TV!! It was life size to her! Hah!

Wish I would have got a picture with Karen in it ... it would have been 4 generations! Don't know why I don't think of these things @ the right time! =(

Costume change! =) Lydia had the best time running around their yard before we left. Bonnie even let Lydia pick some pretty yellow flowers.

We stopped by the flower shop to see Reedee and Aunt Pammie. We missed Pops being there! Reedee got Lydia a new puzzle and she loves it. Of course she had to open it right away and dump it out! =)

Hanging out with the scarecrows at Mimi and PaPa's! She is obsessed with scarecrows this year. She always laughs at them and says they have messy hair. Some days I think she could be one!

Knock, Knock, Knock ... TRICK or TREAT!!

 Posing with PaPa and Mimi!!

We showed off her costume while we were in Searcy last weekend, but I didn't get any pictures. =( Uncle Craig has glitter all over his bed and room as proof though!! Sorry Uncle Craig!

Lydia made cards for all of her grandparents and great grandparents. She had the best time making each card and figuring out who she wanted to give it to.

 Working hard with Mommy!

Getting a little help from Daddy.

Concentrating ...

We are excited about our small group Halloween party tonight! Watch for more pictures soon! =)

Friday Night Fun!

We only have a couple more "Mommy & Lydie Friday Nights" left ... so we are taking full advantage of them! Even though we love having our girl time, we are SO ready for Daddy to be home with us on Friday nights. It makes it so much more fun!

We started out by making some Pumpkin Cake Mix cookies. If you have never tried them ... you REALLY need to! Super easy and very tasty!! I posted the recipe here.

Lydia LOVES to help in the kitchen! Hope it continues as she gets older. So many fun memories in the kitchen growing up. As you can tell, she worked very hard to get the sprinkles on ... what you can't see is that every few seconds she would stop to eat a few! She's too funny!

 Such a good helper!

After we made cookies, we ordered a pizza. On the way to pick it up, we stopped by RedBox to pick up a couple movies. One for Lydia and one for me!

Of course she picked out Dora and was super excited!!
By the way ... yes, she is wearing her pajamas! She did not want to take them off, so I let her wear them! She's not feeling too well and figured it didn't hurt anything!

This girl must have been starving because she put away one and half pieces of pizza and a clementine ... and asked for more pizza! She ate more than I did!

Thankfully she saved room for one of her cookies!

After dinner it was time to snuggle on the couch and watch a little Dora before an early bed time!

Great Weekend!

We had another fun weekend!! It involved family, friends and of course ... football! If you had told me 5 years ago that a fun weekend would involve sitting @ a football game, I would have told you that you were nuts! Hah! Oh how things have changed! I LOVE going to football games with Jeff! We headed up to Searcy for a long weekend and had a blast!

Lydia with her super yummy cupcake Granna got her! Can you tell that she's one happy little girl?!?

Lydia and Granna playing the matching game!

On Saturday, Jeff and I headed to Jonesboro to watch the Red Wolves play the Florida Atlantic Owls. Lydia stayed and played with Granna, Uncle Craig and Gigi. I'm sure she had a lot more fun playing with them than she would have going with us!! I think her favorite part was rolling down the front yard with Uncle Craig. Too bad we don't have any pictures!

Granna got her some Halloween sugar cookies with purple icing and sprinkles! Of course, she LOVED them!

Jeff and I had a wonderful few hours to ourselves. It's been so crazy lately, I don't feel like we've had much time for just us. I love spending time with him ... no matter if we are driving in the car, watching a movie on the couch or watching a football game. So thankful God placed him in my life. Couldn't ask for a better husband or father to Lydia. He's amazing!

We grabbed a quick bite to eat at one of our old "hangouts" when we were in college. Munchy's was one of our favorite places to get a sandwich! Brought back so many fun memories ... and the place has not changed at all! I even think the prices were the same!

After lunch it was time for a nice little walk to the football stadium for an AWESOME game!

ASU's new mascot "Howl" the Red Wolf. Tried to get a good picture for Lydia ... and this was the best I got. Maybe next time! Can't wait until she can go with us and see him in person! Hopefully next season she can make a game or two!

 Love this guy!!

This was one of the best games that we've been to in a while!! The score at the beginning of the 4th quarter was 16-9, FAU. ASU came back and scored 28 unanswered points for a final score of 16-37!! Talk about an exciting 4th quarter!

While we were at the game ... Uncle Craig taught Lydia all sorts of tricks!! This is one of them! Nice, huh?!?

Told him payback will be rough!!

Lydia decided that she needed to use some of my mousse on her hair Sunday morning while we were packing to head home for church. She's such a silly little girl!

L-O-V-E

I love these two SO much!! I thank God daily for them ... and also for the relationship that they have with each other. I pray that as Lydia gets older their relationship continues to grow. She's such a "daddy's girl" and LOVES spending time with him.

Here are some pictures from lunch today ...

Are they not too cute?!?

They were saying "cheeseburger", but obviously I took the picture at the wrong time! Hah!

 She's so goofy!!

 "Whatcha lookin' at?!?"

 So sweet!

Obviously Lydia was taking a "working lunch"! She was busy checking her email and blogs while we were waiting on our lunch!

Almost Wordless Wednesday

She had a while we waited in line @ the deli in Walmart ...

30 minutes later ... she had a piece of cheese! =(

 NICE!!

Notice her and Pops are both buckled!

 Happy Birthday, GiGi!!

Sharing cookies with PaPa ... "One for PaPa, One for Lydie!" She LOVES to share!
