Splish Splash

We had such a fun Wednesday! Lydia was SO excited that it was time for another swim lesson. She woke up EARLY and had her swimsuit on before I was even out of bed! =)

She is proud of her goggles! She wanted to hold them in the car and put them on as soon as lessons started.

Working on her kicking. She was a little more comfortable today, but still needs to relax a lot more! She had a death grip on her teacher most of the time she was in the water! But look at that smile ... she's having SO much fun!

Working on their stroke out of the water.

Jack Henry did awesome again today!! I'm so proud of him! It was SO humid in there and his hair got curlier and curlier the longer we were in there. =)

So proud of her for putting her face in the water! She's facing so many fears by doing everything the teacher has told her to do! At the end of class she jumped in without grabbing on to her teachers hands! Can't wait to see how she does on Monday!

After her lesson, we went over to the splash pad they have and the kids were SO excited! There was only 1 little girl there when we got there, so they had the whole place to their selves.

Look at that sweet smile!

Lydia made a new friend and had so much fun playing with her while we were there.

He was telling me the water dumped on his head!  He has NO problem with water being dumped on him or sprayed in his face! He's the total opposite of Lydia.

He was like this the whole time! Laughing, smiling, screaming and running THE WHOLE TIME!

Love that sweet smile of her's!

Shoving in his bar so he could get back out there and play. ;)

We will definitely be going back a lot this summer and packing our lunch so they can play even longer. I think the only way I got them to leave was by telling them we were going to to meet Daddy for lunch. =) Otherwise, we may have had issues. ;)

So thankful we were able to meet Jeff for lunch and then later tonight for a sno-cone treat. We are missing him being at home so much! These kids love their daddy and miss their time with them. Thankfully the magazine will be all put together soon and we can have some fun family time together this summer!

She loves showing off her blue smile!

Swimming, Donuts and the Park

We've been wanting to put Lydia in swimming lessons for a while now, but just have never done it. Today she started her lessons and she did awesome!!

She told me she was nervous while she was eating breakfast this morning. Tried to tell her that her swim teacher was trained to teach her to swim, just like Mrs. Helen was trained to teach her letters, numbers, etc. That seemed to ease her fears a little bit. =)

This guy was a trooper during her lesson! Hopefully the next 7 will go just as smoothly!

Waiting her turn on the wall

She's VERY tense, but she did everything her teacher asked her to do. Hopefully she will loosen up as she gets more comfortable in the water!

She got out asking to stay and swim longer! Guess that's a good sign!

We went for a little treat since she listened so well in her lesson. =) She was so excited!! (By the way, she shared her donuts!)

This little boy was in heaven!! There was a motorcycle outside the window and they are doing construction on the road by the donut shop so there were diggers and scrappers working outside and he was SO happy!

Waving bye bye to the motorcycle. ;)

After donuts and dropping off some dry cleaning, I decided to swing by the park on the way home. The weather is PERFECT so I didn't want to pass up a pretty day! When it's 73 outside in June you have to take advantage of it!

We pulled in the parking lot and Lydia said "MOM!! You are SO sweet!" Hah! She can be so silly ... and so dramatic at times!

There were some kids that were playing a little rough and Jack Henry didn't know what to think about it. He was keeping a close eye on them.

Love these two!

Promotion Sunday

This little girl moved up the BIG kids church today and into her new kindergarten class!!

Doesn't seem possible, but I'm trying to get used to the idea! She was a little nervous about going, but once she saw an older girl that she knew she went off with her and never looked back. =)

We have our moments ... but I love this little girl more than life! Praying that we both survive the little girl attitude stage and that I can be the example I need to be for her! Some days I just want to run away and hide! Hah!

She thought she was SO big getting to push one of these little carts at Kroger today. Thankfully there weren't many people in there so we didn't have any crashes. =)

Ugh ... she adores this cat that roams around our street and I can't stand it! She talks to it like it's a human being and can totally understand everything she says. It makes me laugh SO hard! She told me today when she turned 20 she's going to have 2 dogs and 1 cat. She keep asking for a pet and we keep telling her no. Guess she thinks 20 is a good age to be out on your own and buy some pets. ;)

How cute is he waiting at the door watching for Mimi to bring Lydia home from church tonight. He LOVES "sissy" and says her name constantly when she's not here. He was so excited when they pulled into the drive way. If he could figure out how to get out the front door he would have been gone!

Yes, he swiped Lydia's headband and wanted to wear it! He so silly about it. Guess it makes him feel close to her when she's not around? He was hiding his Thomas and Percy trains and had the sweetest smile when he "found" them!

I've been trying to capture this smile on camera FOREVER now. He refuses to smile for the camera and it makes me so sad. ;) I'm thinking we are going to have a little photo shoot tomorrow with Thomas  and Percy. Whatever works, right?!?

Summer Time Fun

I can't believe that the second week of summer has already come and gone. The first day of school is going to be here before I know it! =/ We are having fun though ... so that's all that matters! =)

Waiting to get the oil changed. These 2 were troopers! Thank goodness for the car DVD player and Cars to keep them occupied!

Enjoying a little post nap popsicle while playing outside! This girl LOVES popsicles and loved discovering chocolate popsicles!

Jack Henry and Lydia came with me to our End of School/Beginning of Summer bash at church on Wednesday nights. I can't believe that she can start coming to Elevate now. Doesn't seem right! She had SO much fun though! They had 2 different bouncy things set up and she wore herself out!

She was so excited that Annabel came and she was able play with her!

Thursday we had a fun play date with Eden and Harper. Fast forward 11 years, and this picture will be a reality! Only it won't be a princess car ... it will be the real thing! Eeek!

Rainy Wedding

Jeff's cousin Ryan got married today and Lydia was so excited about going to the wedding! Well, actually, she was excited about cake and dancing (even though there was no dancing!)! Of course, the minute we got there she peeked in and saw the cake and she was ready right then for some cake! She did really good for a hungry 5 year old through the wedding. =)

Sweet baby girl before the wedding!

Lydia with Bonnie and CooCoo! She light up when she saw them in the hallway when we got there!

So glad she was able to love on Papa a little bit today!

She's been missing her Mimi and Papa the past few weeks. She was excited to see both of them today!

Waiting VERY patiently for some cake!!

 Daddy's little girl

Love her!

The weather was yucky yucky ... but the wedding was beautiful!! Congratulations Ryan and Tabitha!
