Croup?!?

Well, we've had our first "illness"! Lydia woke us up Friday morning about 4:45 coughing this HORRIBLE cough! It sounded like she had swallowed a seal! It scared me at first...and then I remembered I had read about this cough. So we pulled out our little book from the doctor and looked up croup...and that is what it was. We went to the doctor and they put her on a steroid. She seems to be getting better...so that is good. She will be done with the steroid today, and I am more than ready! It makes her not sleep well...so our afternoons are pretty long. We are just ready for her to feel better. Poor girl has not felt good for two weeks now!

What a cute booty!
We had a good weekend! Granna came down and stayed with us...and we had such a good time! It was good to see her and visit some! She kept Lydia Friday night and let Jeff and I get out for a quick dinner and treat. It was a much needed break for me! Saturday night we went over to GiGi's house and watched the Razorback game! Of course we ended up watching Lydia more than the game...but oh well!

Me and Nena K with GiGi's bunny

Last night at church we had our "Harvest Fellowship" and Lydia got to wear her bunny costume! She looked adorable...and it kept her nice and warm! We didn't get a chance to take her picture while we were outside...so we took some once we got home. Here are the pictures from our "photo shoot"!

2 Little Bunnies

Trying to "hop" away...

"Look at me!"

"Okay...I've had enough! How do I get this thing off me?!"

Today is "flu shot day"...not looking forward to that! Hopefully she will do okay with it!

Our Trip To Deer Camp

We had a wonderful time at deer camp last weekend! The weather was perfect...and we had such a good time with Pops and Reedee. Lydia of course had a great time! :) She might have even gone through withdrawals when we got home! She loved all the attention! Since the weather was so nice, we were able to spend quite a bit of time outside, which she loved. She was able to experience her first bonfire Thursday night when we got there. She loved sitting outside all bundled up in front of the fire. It's crazy to think that this time next year she might be roasting marshmallows over the fire!

Jeff was able to see quite a few deer while we were there. Of course the one afternoon/evening that Pops and Reedee stayed in with Lydia and let me go sit on the stand with him we didn't see anything! :( We are hoping to be able to go down during gun season...maybe I can see one then. The only ones that I saw were dead...no fun!

Check back soon for pictures of Lydia in her Halloween costume! :) We have our Harvest Fellowship at church on Sunday! Granna is coming down this weekend to visit and we cannot wait to see her! It's been too long since we've seen her!

7 Months Old!

Man...where does the time go? It seems like I was just doing a blog on Lydia turning 6 months old and here she is...7 months old now! She is really turning into a feisty little girl! Everyday she is becoming more and more active and alert. She is becoming very observant and you can tell she is trying to figure out the world around her! Any time we are out somewhere she can't stop looking around. She wants to see everyone and touch everything! :) I've said this before...but I think we may have our hands full!

She is hardly ever still anymore!

She has a crazy obsession with sticking her tongue out now!
Lydia's got another runny nose...this is how I finally got her to stay asleep. She looks like such a big girl!

Lydia and I will both have a "first" this week! We are going to deer camp with Daddy! :) We are going down tomorrow (Thursday) and coming back on Monday. We are going to be staying with Pops and Reedee...so I'm sure Lydia will be rotten when we come back! :) We are all looking forward to it...it will be nice to "get away" for a few days.
Lydia's stash for the week!
Rita (Reedee), Jeff's step mom, owns a business called "Buck Girl" and she has loaded Lydia up with "camo" to wear while we are at deer camp! She is going to be so cute! You should check out their website (www.buckgirl.org). She has some super cute clothes on there! And...Lydia is a little model on there! :)
Stay tuned for pictures from our trip! :)

One Fun Weekend

We've had so much fun here lately! Lydia is getting to the age where we can go and do stuff with her and we just have a blast! Friday night we went over Memaw's house (Jeff's Grandmother) and got together with family. We don't get to see them that often, so we had a great time visiting with everyone. Hopefully we can do it again soon! :)

Nap Time!

Spending some time with Memaw!

Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Patch! We had such a good time! We went with Michael, Leanne, and Eden. It was a beautiful day out, a little warm, but nice. Lydia seemed to have a great time. They had a little petting zoo (she was more interested in the kids running around) and a big pumpkin patch. I could not decide on what pictures to put on here...so I just made a slide show of them!

Saturday night ASU was playing and the game was on TV, so we went over to Nena K & Papa T's house to watch it. Lydia was all dressed up in her ASU shirt and red bow...and she cheered them on to victory! It was fun to be able to watch the game!

Watching the ball game with Daddy

She looks a little mischievous in this one!

Dressed in our ASU shirts
GiGi and Brian came over while we were watching the game to visit...and bring a few surprises! GiGi got Lydia laughing...it was so cute! She is not doing it all the time, but she has started doing this laugh that is adorable! It sounds like it comes from way down in her belly. We love it when she gets going!

Pictures don't do the laugh justice...
She is getting to be so much fun! I can't believe that she will be 7 months old tomorrow. I don't know where the time has gone! We are in the middle of teething...and it's not much fun. She did really well with the first two, but she has been really fussy today. I feel so bad for her because I know that she has to be in pain. Hopefully she will have some teeth break through in the next few days and give her a little relief before the next ones decide to come in.

She is eating her solid food so well. We have a blast feeding it to her. You can tell that she really likes it and is getting the hang of it. We've made it through all the vegetables and are on to fruits. So far we have not found anything that she doesn't like! Her latest thing she does while you are feeding her is smacks her lips really hard. It's like she can't get enough!

While we were getting ready for church Sunday night, she got all rolled up in Jeff's shorts...it was so cute!

A Walk In The Park

We had such a good weekend! Friday Jeff had off and suggested that we go to the park for a picnic and walk. It was so much fun! The weather was perfect and Lydia had such a good time. She is so happy when we are outside. Hopefully there will be many more trips to the park to come! We are going to have to invest in a picnic basket eventually! :)

Lydia @ the picnic...check out the tennis shoes! Pink Camo! :)

Our outing wore her out...
Friday night Nena K and Papa T offered to watch Lydia for us. It was nice to have a night out. We grabbed a bite to eat and then did a little shopping. Of course Lydia had a great time!

Such a big girl...she even has her own cell phone!

When we got back Papa T was reading a book to Lydia...so sweet!

Granna was in town for a little bit Saturday! It was so good to see her! We've missed her! :) We also got to see Eden, Michael and Leanne! I can't wait until the girls get a little bit bigger and can really start playing together! It's going to be so much fun!

Already sharing...even if it is a paci!

Eden loving on Lydia! (Check out Granna and GiGi!!)

Chillin' with Aunt Leanne!

Hanging out with Uncle Mike. They were amazed at what she can do with her tongue...I've got to get a good picture of it! It's a talent!

Little Cutie

Just when we get used to a schedule for Lydia...things change! :) As stated in the last post, we started on "solids", so we've had to switch things up a little bit. Lydia has done so well with the changes and it seems to be working well so far! She never became a big fan of sweet peas, but she LOVES squash! She gobbles it up so quickly. Next we will be moving on the green beans. Hopefully she will do better with them than her cousin Eden did! Guess we will find out at lunch Saturday! :)

"Yummy!"
We have been taking advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having here lately. We know before too long, it will be to cold to get out...so we are getting out and walking as much as possible. Lydia and I have been taking a morning or afternoon walk and then we get out with Jeff and take an evening walk. Lydia loves being in her stroller. She just looks around and takes it all in. It's been a little bit cool when we get out, so we've had to bundle her up a little bit. She looks so cute!

Thanks for the super cute hat and outfit Grandmother!

The way that her foot is in this picture made me smile on our walk...this is how I sit when I'm riding in the car! I hardly make it across town without my foot on the dashboard! :)

Lydia has not started to crawl yet, but she knows how to move across the floor...ROLL! She has figured out how to get somewhere...and very quickly! The other day I left her for a few seconds and when I got back she was across the room playing with my flip flops! Guess she is going to be a shoe girl!

Not sure how well you can see it in the picture, but Lydia has two teeth that have come through on the bottom and acts like she is trying to get one (or more) on the top. The drooling slowed down for a day or two, but it's started back up again! Guess we will find out in a few days! She has done really well with teething though, so we've been very lucky.

We are having so much fun with her and love watching her discover new things! Stay tuned for pictures from our fun weekend ahead! A trip to the park...and pumpkin patch! :)

Will she ever get in trouble with this look???
