Park Fun

We took advantage of a couple of cool days this week to head to the park. Lydia LOVES the park and Jack Henry loves being outside. I can't wait for him to be able to run around and play. While I'm not wishing time away because he's growing up way too fast ... holding him for an hour or longer while she plays gets VERY tiring and he wants to get down and play SO bad!

Before we got all hot and sweaty!

Happy teething baby

One morning we met Leanne, Eden and Harper to play. The girls had a blast playing together and I loved the chance to visit with Leanne.

First time on the slide!! He loved it! It didn't take him long to try to climb UP the slide. It must be a natural kid thing. =)

He finally loves to swing! Yay!

She loves riding on this horse. She's one crazy girl.

We are ready for some cooler fall weather! It will be nice to be outside and not completely melt after being out there for a few minutes.

It's Time For Some FOOTBALL!!

With Jeff working for Hooten's Arkansas Football, it seems like football season never really ends at our house. We hear football talk year round. =) I however, am ready to see some action! I didn't grow up a football fan, but after meeting Jeff and going to ASU, I'm becoming a fan more and more each year. I have A LOT to learn (just ask Jeff! I ask LOTS of silly questions!), but I love that it's something we can do together and hopefully as the kids get older do with them too.

We headed out to watch Bryant play a scrimmage game one night. The weather was nice and the game started at 6:00, so we were able to watch the first 1/2 and then go home and get the kids in bed before they totally crashed. =)

She was more interested in getting some M&Ms and walking around the bleachers than watching the game. Maybe one day ... =)

Now this little guy, LOVED being at the game. He had so many different things to watch. He was one happy little guy! He loved the cheer leaders, football action, the fans, etc.

 Cheering on the Bryant Hornets!

I am PUMPED up about some ASU football! I can't wait to see what they do this season under Gus Malzahn. He seems like such a good coach and motivator. His motto has been to take ASU to the next level, and I think he can do it!

 Lil stAte fan

And another throw back picture ...

We're Still Here ...

We are still alive and kicking, but the blog has taken a back seat lately. =)

My days are filled keeping lil missy busy ...

And trying to keep up with this little guy!

Also try to spend as much time as possible with this guy ...
Which hasn't been easy lately with me being out of town and him working like crazy.

When I get a little bit of free time to blog, I always feel like there is something else I need to be doing (laundry, cleaning, laundry, picking up clothes, laundry ...) or I'm so worn out I don't want to do anything but go to bed!

After this week, things should slow down a little for us. Maybe I can get "caught" up then! I miss blogging and know that one day I'll be happy that I took the time to catch up. Feel like a lot has gone on the past few months ... a trip to Michigan, a fun filled week at "The G House", "ran" my first 5k, and so much more.

My Loves

I don't know what happens, but when you get married and have kids, love takes on a whole new meaning. I had NO idea that my heart could feel what it does. Yes, I love my family more than words can explain, but the love that God gave me for Jeff, Lydia and Jack Henry is indescribable.

Being a stay at home mom is TOUGH. I have a whole new respect for my momma after staying home these past 4 1/2 years ... and to think I only have 1/2 the work that she did! I can't tell you how many times I've called or texted her (especially here lately!) and told her that she must have been super woman. She always makes me feel better, no matter what I'm struggling with.

Anyways, all that to say that I was REALLY looking forward to my trip to Michigan. I had been feeling totally overwhelmed with life. Jeff's work schedule this summer has been crazy hectic, Lydia has developed a typical 4 year old girl sassy attitude, and Jack Henry is BUSY BUSY! But, leaving Jeff and the kids was HARD! After away for a day, I was missing them like crazy and ready to see them. Jeff and his mom were awesome to help out and make my trip possible!

Here are some pictures Jeff sent me throughout the week.

LOVED getting this picture on my phone!

Lydia and Jack Henry putting on a little concert at Mimi's house.

Lydia spent the night at Mimi and Papa's house, so Jack Henry and Jeff had a little "Guys Night".

I think Jack Henry kind of enjoys a break from Lydia every now and then. He gets to play with WHATEVER he wants and has no one snatching toys away. ;)

Lydia was so excited that Mimi fixed the hole in her ladybug.

 My crazy little guy!

Lydia has started coloring SO good! She colors just about every time we are in the car and it amazes me how well she colors. Showing off her masterpiece that she colored on the way to church.

I texted Lydia the next 2 pictures on our way home ...

 Our plane ...

 We're home!!!=)

Not sure who was happier ... me or him!

My card that Lydia and Mimi made! Is it not the cutest?!?

Mommy GetAway

I was able to take a little trip to Michigan with my mom to go visit my brother, sister-in-law and nephew. It was SUCH a fun trip. I missed Jeff and my babies like crazy, but it was nice to get a little break. =)

Is he not the cutest little guy? He has the sweetest little personality and most adorable smile!

We went up to visit, but we also were there to try to help with Brisco while Beth's sister Molly got married. Hopefully we were a little bit of help! We loved getting the chance to play! =) They got married the same place Matt and Beth did. It's BEAUTIFUL! Right on the lake. You can actually see Canada across the water. So neat!

Probably my favorite part of the day was the mornings. We were able to hang out, drink coffee, be lazy and PLAY!

All dressed up for the wedding. =)

Love this picture!

Mom and  her middle son. =)

We had a blast!

Brisco hanging out at the head table with Mommy and Daddy.

Brisco did AWESOME during the wedding!

One day we went to the Henry Ford Museum to go through the Titanic exhibit. It was awesome!

Us with Beth's mom and dad on the Titanic ;)

Brisco was more interested in the trains behind us ... who could blame him!

Had the best time with him!
