Wonderful Christmas!!

"I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!"

We had such a GREAT Christmas! Lydia enjoyed every minute of it! She has been such a trooper! We kept her out way too late...passed her around...and missed naps, and she was just her happy little self! Lydia got a ton of new toys and she LOVES playing with them! We were wondering when she opened her presents if she would like them or not because all she was interested in was the paper and bows. But now that all that is gone, she plays, and plays, and plays!

Lydia's new favorite "non-toy" to play with is our laptop! She loves to help Daddy pay bills and do work!

"No Daddy, do it like this!"
We've been hanging out in Searcy since Christmas Day and have had a blast! We've been able to relax and play and just take it easy! Lydia continues to change daily! She is crawling around like a crazy baby! She does a power crawl and gets where she is going very quickly! She goes non-stop for a couple of hours and then crashes for a nap! After her nap is over...she is ready to go again!

And she's off!

Here are a few pictures from the week!

So sweet!

Lydia's "mo hawk"! Her hair seems to be growing very quickly lately!

We are looking forward to the new year and all that God has in store for us!! He brought many blessings to us in 2008 and know that He has many more for 2009! Happy New Years!

Happy Anniversary!!

Yesterday, Jeff and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary! Sometimes it's hard to believe that we've been married 4 years already, and then other times it seems like it's been a lot longer than that! God has really blessed us in the past 4 years! This past year brought the biggest changes in our lives, but through them we've grown closer together. I'm so glad that God brought us together. Jeff is a wonderful husband, great father, and my best friend! I can't wait to see where God takes us in this life together!

We spent the day together as a family and had a blast! We did a little Christmas shopping...and Lydia got to meet Santa! She did so good with him! She has this "fear" of hairy things, so we were not sure how she would do, but she did great! She didn't cry...and didn't pull his beard! I'll try to get the picture scanned soon so that I can put the picture on here!

A couple of weekends ago, Jeff's mom and Tim watched Lydia for us and let us have a day together. We went shopping...saw the Nutcracker (my surprise!!)...and had an awesome dinner! It was nice to spend the day together alone, but by the end of the day we were ready to get back home to our little girl!

9 Month Weigh-In

Well...we went to the doctor today, and here are Lydia's official "9 Month Numbers"...
Weight: 19 pounds (53%)
Length: 29 1/2 inches tall (96%)
Head: 17 3/8 inches (54%)

"Good things come in small packages"

Dr. Stanford said she is doing great! He was asking us about different things that she was doing like sitting up on her own, recognizing her name, and so forth, and he said something about her not pulling up yet...when we told her that she was he was shocked! I guess he was not expecting her to be doing that yet. :) Guess she is a little ahead on that one. He said that is what a "normal" 9 month old should be doing! We are so happy that she is growing and developing like she should. God has truly blessed us!

Us before church Sunday morning

I don't think that I mentioned this in the last post...but on our way home from church Sunday night Lydia started to "talk"! It is so cute! She is "saying" "baba" and "dada"!! She only does it when she wants...but she is doing it! As mentioned above, she is pulling up on EVERYTHING! Right now her favorite thing to pull up on is the coffee table to get to the laptop! She wants to play with it so bad!

Here is a slide show of some of Lydia's Christmas Pics...hope you enjoy!

9 Months Old

9 Months Old!

Lydia is 9 months old today! It's hard to believe, I really don't know where the time has gone. She has brought so much joy to our lives, and it's hard to remember what life was like without her. She is a ball of energy...she does not stop unless she is asleep. It's so much fun to watch her discover the world around her. She is very curious, and loves to watch everything going on around her. We just wonder what is going through her little head. She is enjoying the Christmas tree and LOVES to play with the presents. I'm going to have to re-wrap a couple of them, but she is having so much fun with them, I just let her play.

"Yummy!"

Lydia and Daddy after opening day of duck season

I feel so far behind on posting pictures, so I'll try to catch up as much as I can. Starting this weekend, the "Family Christmas Craziness" begins...and we can't wait! So there will be LOTS of pictures taken!
Here are some pictures from Pops & Reedee's house. As you will be able to tell from the pictures, she LOVED their tree!!
Too bad pictures don't come with sound

"I finally got it!"

Sitting in her rocking chair Aunt Glenda made for her. She looks like such a big girl!

Check back for more Christmas pictures soon! :)

"Happy Thanksgiving"...a little late!

Well...I'm a little slow on posting Thanksgiving pictures! Sorry to those of you who have been checking for them! Things have become even more crazy at our house! Between chasing Lydia (who is now fully mobile!!), wrapping Christmas presents, playing, baking, Christmas shopping, and chasing Lydia even more...there does not seem to be much extra time in the day! :) We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was so good to spend time with family and relax a little bit. We are now looking forward to seeing everyone again at Christmas!! Here are a few pictures from Thanksgiving...hope you enjoy!

Lydia is growing and changing daily! It's amazing how quickly she is learning new things. We have enjoyed watching her learn. She is now crawling all over the house. We can not leave the room for a minute without her getting into something. Seems like she always goes for the things that she is not supposed to have. I'm sure that she is tired of hearing "No, Lydia" and "No ma'am" already! Those might be her first words! :)

I'll be posting some of her Christmas pictures soon...so check back! :) Hope that everyone is enjoying the Christmas season! Love you!
