Yummy!!

We got up this morning and took Lydia to Krispy Kreme! It was her first time and she loved it, of course! They were super busy and she loved watching everyone and talking to a little 7 month old girl that was sitting beside us!

Watching the donuts get "glazed"!!

Jeff had to help her at first...

She was not a fan of the hat!!

After the first bite, she was hooked!

She LOVES her Daddy!!

Mommy's little girl!

It is so much fun to be able to get out and do more things with Lydia the older she gets! We've gone to a one nap schedule this week and so far it's working great! It's nice to have time in the morning to get out and do whatever we want instead of having to rush around between lunch and nap! She is growing up so far and it's hard to believe that she's almost a year and a half! The time has flown by and we've loved every minute of it!

Congratulations Jon & Jessica!!!

Mr. & Mrs. Jon Baker!!
Jeff and I spent the weekend in Hot Springs celebrating the marriage of Jon & Jessica Baker! Jeff and Jon were lived together in college and have remained friends even after we moved off. It was so much fun to be there for their big day and Jeff enjoyed being a part of it! The wedding was so sweet and beautiful!
It was also good to see some friends that we have not seen in a long time! It's always good to be able to hang out and catch up!

They danced down the aisle! So sweet!

Their attendants also danced down the aisle in sunglasses!

Jon and Jeff

Us with the happy couple! Wish this picture would have turned out better! =(

Jeff and I before the rehearsal dinner.
We are so happy for Jon and Jessica! They are such a sweet couple! Excited to see what God does through them!
Nena K & PaPa T (Jeff's mom and step dad) kept Lydia for us while we were gone. She had a blast!! They took her to Chik-Fila on Friday night and then to Cracker Barrel on Saturday morning for breakfast! They played hard and also went swimming! As you can see from the picture below, she had a lot of fun!!
One tired girl!

Daddy's Little Girl

Jeff had a little procedure done the other day and on the way home he thought that a smoothie sounded good. We stopped and picked him one up...and when we got home Lydia thought she needed to try some! She's NEVER drank out of a straw in the past, but this must have smelled really good because she finally figured it out!

Multi-tasking at a young age!

"All gone!"

Going for a little ride in the laundry basket! She loved this!
Jeff and Lydia have such a sweet relationship. I love watching the two of them together. Jeff is such a wonderful Daddy and is so hands on with her! They love playing together...blocks, books, babies, balls, etc! I can not wait to see how their relationship blossoms over the years!
We took the little seat off of Lydia's rocking horse last week and she loves riding her horse now! She gets on it and rocks so big and just laughs and smiles! The other day she was riding on it and was holding her baby, playing with a few blocks and drinking some milk! Such a girl! Here are a few pictures of her! The look on her face is priceless!
Having a blast!

Yee-haw!!

Queen of the House

While Jeff and I took our little trip, Lydia stayed at "The 'G' House"! Of course she had a wonderful time...and I think from the stories I heard that she pretty much ruled the house! Here are a few pictures of Lydia having a lot of fun at their house!

Lydia reading with Granna!

Lydia loved playing on GiGi's bed! Look at all those fun pillows!

She also enjoyed a little "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" with Mary Evelyn!

We've been letting Lydia eat her snack on a blanket...she LOVES it and does really well about staying on it while she eats. It's so cute!

She helped with water the flowers! She loves their yard!

Trying to catch the water as it comes out of the faucet! So funny!!

Sweet baby!

"Thank you for watching me! I had a blast!!"

While I was feeding Lydia her snack that night, she decided she wanted her foot on the table! It was so funny! She's like me in that she likes to have her feet propped up!

Goofy girl!

Happy Early Anniversary!

Jeff and I took a trip a little over a week ago to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Our anniversary is not until December 18th, but since we wanted to go to the beach, we figured we might as well go now! No fun going to the beach in December! =) We had a WONDERFUL time away. We did a lot of relaxing on the beach and just enjoyed our time together. We missed Lydia A TON while we were gone, but were so thankful for the "kid free" time we had! Thanks Mom, Betty, and Craig for watching her for us! I'm sure she had a lot more fun with y'all than she would have with us!
This is the life! =)

I could sit on the beach all day long! Love the sound of waves crashing and the sun beaming down! We actually got a little too much sun one day! Thankfully it wasn't too bad! Jeff can't sit still as long as I can, so he had to find ways to entertain himself while we were on the beach!

Here he is with the boogie board that was in our condo. He had a blast on it! Wish that the picture would have turned out clearer! Guess I should have got up out of my chair and gone a little closer! Oh well!

Guess he got a little too hot! Decided to put his chair right on the water!

Here we are before we headed to Destin for a little shopping and yummy food!

We ate dinner at the Crab Trap right on the beach. It was wonderful and the weather was perfect! You can't tell from the pictures, but both of us are quite burned from too much sun earlier in the day! If it was a close up you would see just how RED we were!

The view from our table!

This is the view out our bathroom window. We were really close to the beach, which was nice! That's water in the background!

The view off our balcony!

A peek down the beach access!

View down from the board walk! Love the white sands!

These steps were killer after laying in the sun for a couple hours! Whew!
Unfortunately our trip was cut a little short. We had pretty decent weather the whole time we were there. We had some rain, but that's pretty normal for Florida. When I got up Sunday morning and watched the weather I saw they had changed the forecast to 90% chance of rain. So I woke Jeff up and told him if we wanted to go to the beach we had better get moving! Well, when he went in to watch the weather we figured out that a Tropical Storm had developed overnight and was headed straight for us! Fun times! After watching the weather a little more we decided we would spend the morning at the beach and then go on home. We didn't want to deal with the storm Sunday afternoon and night and then have to drive home through it on the way home. One nice perk for ending our trip early was we were able to see Lydia a little sooner! =)
Tropical Storm Claudette's outer bands following us on the way home! =)
We had a wonderful time and hope that we can go back in the near future! Next time we want to take Lydia! She would love the sand and water!

More Family Fun!

After spending almost 2 weeks straight with my family...we left Searcy and headed to Benton to hang out with some of Jeff's family! We love to spend time with our family and feel so blessed to be surrounded by them! Some people can't wait until they can move far away from their family but we are just the opposite! We want to stay as close as we can! Hopefully they feel the same way about us! ;)

A glimpse into the future...14 + years down the road! Scary!

Lydia showing Bonnie how to honk the horn!

Lydia loved Aunt Bethany's scarf! =)

Little fashion girl! We had changed Lydia into her pj's before we left and next thing I knew she came back into the kitchen area with her dress on OVER her pj's! Bethany said she got into her bag and was trying to put her dress on! So she helped her out a little! She looked adorable! Right in style!

Having a little one-on-one time with Aunt Bethany!
It was so nice to see Shawn and Bethany for a little bit while they were in town! We miss them bunches and hope we can see them again soon! Lydia was so excited when we got to Nena K & PaPa's Sunday afternoon because Layla (Shawn and Bethany's dog) was there!! It was so cute to see her get all excited over her!

Fun in Searcy Part 2!

Well...I am way behind AGAIN! And my pictures uploaded backwards! Oh well...here are the pictures from the second part of our trip to Searcy while Matt and Beth were here!

All the girls having a dance party at Grandmother's house. Poor Gordie didn't know what to think!!

Lydia loves this rocking chair at "The 'G' House"! Her and Eden looked so cute rocking in it!

Aunt Leanne reading to Lydia
Eden being goofy! She thought it was hilarious to put this bucket on her head and walk around! Such a silly girl!
We love you Matt and Beth! Can't wait until we can see you again!!
