Random Pics - Part 2

Lydia has been so sweet lately talking about how she is going to help when Jack Henry is born and talking to him (my belly). I LOVE it!! She has also started cuddling on the couch and laying her head on my belly ... not sure she totally gets that there is a baby in there, but it is still sweet!

She has started to take care of her babies lately and it's so cute to watch. One day last week, we heard her singing "Light of the World" (which Jeff sings to her @ night) to one of her babies. One of the sweetest things EVER!

We've been playing games A LOT more lately. Her favorites right now are Hi-Ho Cherry-O and Candy Land. Love the fact that she is not competitive and does not care if she wins or loses. She's so funny when something "bad" happens to one of us. She will look at us and say "It's okay, Mommy/Daddy"!

Getting a little game time in with Daddy. He's been working like crazy trying to finish up the magazine at work, so she is all about Daddy when he gets home!

Can you say "DIVA", yet again?!?
Before her nap, she told me she wanted to sleep with a monkey. So, I went in her room and found her sock monkey and gave it to her and she looked at me and said "No, Mommy. Not this monkey ... Jack Henry's soft monkey!" Luckily she took this one and went to sleep with no problems!

Enjoying the nice cool weather we had yesterday and drawing with her side walk chalk. Doesn't she look comfy?!?

Love, Love, LOVE this girl!

As I've said before ... She's a total mess!! She keeps us on our toes and laughing all the time! Never a dull moment when she's around! =)

Random Pics - Part 1

I have been REALLY bad about blogging the past week! Seems like every time I get a chance, I'm so tired that all I want to do is sleep ... and I figure sleep comes first, so that's what I've done! =) So, here is my attempt to catch up on the past week!

Last Thursday, Lydia went to try out a gymnastics class. We have been wanting to put her in a class for a while, but just have not done it until now. She was SO excited and could hardly wait to get there and play!

This was the best picture I could get. She did pretty well for her first time. She of course wanted to try out everything and made sure I watched her, but the girl leading her class said she did really well for never having been in anything like that before. She starts the first week in June going once a week and I can't wait to watch her!

Movie Star! ;) Or, as someone on facebook said "Ly-Diva"! Totally describes her!

I can not get over the curls in her hair after she woke up from her nap one day! Is that not crazy?!? I need to put some "Be Curly" in it one day after her bath and see what happens! I love it ... not sure what Jeff thinks though!

Lydia thought she needed to use Jack Henry's new blanket while she watched TV one night. She told us that she was sharing with Jack Henry! ;)

I just had to share this little outfit Jack Henry got at the shower last weekend. Is it not too cute?!? Can't wait to see him in it! =)

Stay tuned for Part 2 of random pictures tomorrow! =)

Jack Henry's First Shower

The girls in my small group threw me a baby shower last Saturday and it was wonderful! We had it at the little shoppe in Benton where I've been working on Fridays, Just Leave It to Liz, and it was so much fun! The food was delicious as always and loved getting to celebrate Jack Henry!

So blessed by these girls!

Sweet girls! So happy Lydia has these sweet girls to look up to!

I did not get any pictures from the shower, but we got so many cute boy things! I'm LOVIN' all the blue, green and BOY stuff! It has taken me a little while to get used to it. It is so different than pink and girly!

Lydia even got a present from the shower ...

Is that not the cutest "Big Sister" shirt?!? She was so excited about getting a present. She could not wait to open it!

After she opened her present, she went through all of Jack Henry's stuff ... she pulled every single thing out!

When she pulled out this cute little monkey blanket, she looked at me and said "Oh My Goodness!" It was the sweetest thing. Of course, since I reacted the way I did, she started saying it about every little thing she pulled out! =) She is such a mess.

Checking it all out ...

She pulled out these diapers and told me she was going to help change Jack Henry's diaper ... we'll see if that happens or not!

Starting a little stock pile of diapers and wipes ... They may last the first couple of weeks! =)

We are getting so excited to meet Jack Henry. Can't believe it's almost time to hold him in our arms!

32 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 32 Weeks

Size of baby: About 16.7 inches head to toe and almost 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama)

Maternity Clothes: Wearing maternity pants because they are so much more comfortable! Mostly maternity shirts but some regular. Able to wear some of my spring/summer dresses from last year!

Gender: A baby BOY, Jack Henry

Movement: He is a very active little boy! Love feeling him move around ... and get the little hiccups! He gets the hiccups several times a day. They are so strong at times that you can see my belly move with each hiccup! Can't wait to see if he has them a lot once he is born.

Sleep: Waking up every hour or so to roll over and/or use the bathroom. Normally I can usually go right back to sleep, but sometimes I don't and that's really frustrating! I am also waking up around 6:00 and not sleeping much after that ... wish I could sleep in on the days that Lydia does! Love being able to take naps while Lydia is napping ... helps SO much!

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly and having energy

Cravings: Salads and fresh fruit! So glad that all my favorite fruits are in season now ... watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, etc!

Symptoms: Just normal pregnancy stuff ... Trouble bending over, painting my toe nails, indigestion, etc. I also can hardly give Lydia a bath anymore. =( Thankfully Jeff does it most of the time! Starting to feel him up in my ribs more, which makes breathing really hard at times. Still tired, but thankfully nothing I can not handle.

Best Moment this week: The girls in my small group gave me a shower last weekend and it was SO nice! (Yes, I am WAY behind on blogging ... hope to catch up soon!) Loved opening up stuff for Jack Henry! Lydia loved looking through all of his stuff when I got home and helping me put everything back in his room.

Lydia has started to talk about what she is going to do once Jack Henry is born. This week she has started saying she is going to get him his blanket and monkey and also change his diaper! We'll see what happens once he is born, but I think she is going to be a great big sister!

31 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 31 Weeks

Size of baby: About 16.6 inches head to toe and almost 3.3 pounds (like carrying 4 navel oranges) ... and headed towards a growth spurt ... WHAT?!? ;)

Can't wait to see if he has them a lot once he is born.

Starting to feel him up in my ribs more, which makes breathing really hard at times. Still tired, but thankfully nothing I can not handle.

Best Moment this week: Had a good doctor's appointment last Thursday. He said that the Beta Strep test they did at my last appointment came back negative, so that is good. He said that is one possible reason for some people's water breaking early. Still praying and hoping Jack Henry decides to wait a little longer than Lydia did to make his BIG appearance!

Can not believe that I have no more than 9 weeks until we are holding Jack Henry in our arms!! So excited ... but also so nervous! Nervous that I won't be able to handle 2 kids and also how Lydia will adjust. I know people do it all the time, but still makes me anxious! Lydia seems to be excited, but I know she really doesn't have a clue what is about to happen!

Random Saturday

We had one of the most random Saturday's that I can remember in a LONG time! Lydia woke up at 7 o'clock on the dot ... SO I figured we might as well take advantage of an early morning and head to Cracker Barrel for breakfast! I have been CRAVING their blueberry pancakes for a while now and really wanted one! So, off we went!

Lydia playing with the little game. She had fun taking all the pieces out and putting them back in. Kept her entertained for quite a while!

She then moved on to coloring and finding letters with Daddy. (Who, by the way REFUSES to wash his hat!!)

Eating her yummy pancake! She ate most of it, and then she was ready to "go look at stuff"! She could have spent an hour looking at all the toys and candy ... and we probably could have spent a fortune buying her stuff! Thankfully she didn't beg for anything ... and was content on just looking around!

After we came home and played some, it was time to try out a new cookie recipe!

My little helper!

Watching the mixer go round and round!

Finally getting a little taste!! Every time I would lift up the mixer, she would either try to stick her tongue or finger in the batter! It was hilarious!

After we got Lydia down for a nap ... I headed out for a mani and pedi with some friends from church!! It was MUCH needed and so much fun! It had been almost 2 years since I had a pedicure and since I am having a little trouble reaching my toes I loved it!

All of the girls minus Brook.

All of our cute toes!! =)

After Lydia's nap, we headed over to Michael and Leanne's house so the girls could play together. Lydia was SO quiet for the longest time, but after dinner finally started warming up! She is so shy sometimes ... not sure where she gets it from! ;) Okay, she comes by it VERY honestly!!

Beautiful princesses!

Love Eden's pose! =)

Still need to work on Lydia's pose!! We'll get there!!

Taking a break from all the dancing to watch a little Cinderella!

I think we are going to have to find Lydia some princess dress up gowns! She loved being in Eden's Snow White dress! She's never been interested before ... but she is WAY into princesses now! Guess I need to add that to my list of things to keep my eyes open for!

We had so much fun spending the day with each other! Love days like these!!

Fun Friday Night

After a long day of working Friday I was so excited to come home and spend some time with Jeff and Lydia. One of the first things she said when I walked through the door was "I want to go to the park" ... so, I figured a trip to the park was in our plans for the night! Jeff said she had been asking all day, so after I put my feet up for a little while, we headed to the park to play!

I really think Lydia's favorite thing to do at the park is to slide. She's not a big fan of the swings, but loves to climb up the ladder or stairs to the slide and go down. She does it OVER and OVER again!

One of her new obsessions at home is "driving" one of our cars. Anytime we have been somewhere, she ALWAYS asks if she can drive when we get home. She starts taking her shoes off when we pull in the drive way and is ready to go once we unbuckle her. Not sure what we are going to do when it gets too hot this summer for her to sit in the HOT car in the SUPER HOT garage! We may have a problem!

After the park, we headed to a local BBQ place for some yummy catfish!

Such a sweet girl! Sharing her french fries with her Daddy. After she fed him one, she looked at me and said "Mommy, I sharing my french fries with Dada!" She was so proud of herself!

After dinner, we let Lydia decide what she wanted for a little treat ... sno-cone or ice cream and she picked sno-cones! It was SO windy and pretty chilly out, so we didn't last long outside. Lydia and Jeff got in the back of the Tribute and had a little "picnic". She thought that was the coolest thing!

Loving her banana sno-cone!

This is how I found Lydia Thursday afternoon @ nap ...

Can you say "Drama Queen"?!?

She started asking for a wash cloth for her head when she was sick a while back and now wants one pretty regularly. Most of the time, she gets done and throws it in the floor before she goes to sleep or we will find it on her leg, side, or Jenny the Giraffe, but not this day! I HAD to take a picture when I saw her like this! Also, don't you love how she has a blankie on Jenny's head and on Kai-Lan?!? She is SUCH a mess!

Pizza Anyone?!?

Lydia has been asking for pizza a lot lately, so I figured I would buy a pizza crust and let her help make one. She was pretty excited to put on her apron and help me fix dinner! Love spending time in the kitchen with her. She loves to help ... and I love having her in there. It takes a little longer to get everything done and is a lot messier, but so much fun!

Such a cutie!

She loved spreading the pizza sauce out! I think she thought that she was painting or something! =)

Sprinkling the cheese!

I helped her a little bit, but she did REALLY good at spreading it all out ... and of course sneaking a couple bites!

Pepperoni!!

Very carefully placing EACH and every piece!

I didn't get a picture of the final product, but it was really yummy! We added some sausage, green bell peppers, olives and mushrooms. Next time I hope we can get a little more creative and make it even tastier! I see lots of home made pizzas in our future.

30 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 30 Weeks

Size of baby: About 15.7 inches head to toe and almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage)

One night I woke up and he had the hiccups for over 20 minutes!! It was SO sweet!

Sleep: Waking up every hour or so to roll over and/or use the bathroom. Normally I can usually go right back to sleep, but sometimes I don't and that's really frustrating! Also love being able to take naps while Lydia is napping ... helps SO much!

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly

Cravings: Salads and fresh fruit

Symptoms: Just normal pregnancy stuff ... Trouble bending over, painting my toe nails, indigestion, etc. I also can hardly give Lydia a bath anymore. =( Thankfully Jeff does it most of the time! Starting to feel him up in my ribs more, which makes breathing really hard at times. New this week ... I've been EXTREMELY tired the past 2 days. Guess this might be the new normal for a while!

Best Moment this week: Starting to feel him more from the outside. Not sure what I'm feeling, but pretty sure I've felt his little booty and his shoulder or knee. Makes it seem even more real. Hoping my doctor can tell me tomorrow which way he is facing, but I'm sure he will change between now and when he is born.

Reality hit me one day this week while I was vacuuming. I realized that I more than likely have no more than 10 weeks until Jack Henry is here! While I am SUPER excited, I feel like there is SO much left to do! I know whatever gets done will get done ... and whatever doesn't can wait, but still would love to have everything done!!

Fun Day!

I love spending my days with Lydia. I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home and do "the little things" with her. We started off the day by going to story time at the library. She LOVES all of the books and can not get enough of them. Another favorite is doing the craft after the stories and songs. Today was a MESSY craft, but she loved it!

The story was about lines that wiggle, so they started with a piece of paper and colored on it.

Then they cut pieces of yarn and put in a little cup of glue. They stirred the yarn around with popsicle stick and got it all covered ...

And then glued it on their paper.

After every piece of yarn, she had to wipe her hands off! She can not stand to be messy!

Don't you love her pretty flower?!?

After lunch, we went out to enjoy a little sunshine!

 Look at her go!!

 Popping bubbles!!

Tonight we went to register for a few things for Jack Henry at Target, and Lydia was GREAT!! We bought her Beauty and the Beast for being such a good girl at the store and dinner. One of my favorite Disney movies!!

Not sure who is more excited!! Me or her?!? :) Can not wait until we can watch the whole thing together!!
