Tubes

Today was the big day! After months and months of ear infections, sinus infections, bronchitis and tons of antibiotics, Jack Henry got tubes put in his ears! I am praying that this will help him feel better and stay healthy. Poor guy has been sick too much.

Jack Henry and I hanging out in the waiting room.

We had to be there at 6:45 and the surgery was supposed to be at 7:15. Well ... at 7:40 we were still waiting for them to start. This was not a good thing for a little guy who woke up way too early, wanted a dry diaper and a bottle, and is very active. When they finally came and got him, he was not happy at all. We sat out in the waiting room for about 10 minutes before they came and got us. She warned us (again) that he was VERY mad and the second we walked through the door I knew she was right. BROKE my heart!!

He took his bottle fine, but as soon as it was gone he went right back to crying. There was no consoling him, which was very hard. He doesn't take a paci and really only sucks his thumb when he is going to sleep, so all I could do was walk and talk with him. He screamed the whole way home, but thankfully calmed down once we got inside. We got his diaper and pjs changed and put him down for a nap.

He woke up 2 hours later feeling GREAT! All smiles!

So thankful to have my happy baby back.

I am so thankful that Jeff's mom was able to watch Lydia this morning so Jeff could go with me. Loved having him there with me for support!

After lunch he was back to exploring and getting into Daddy's cds. Think they are going to have to find a new home ... just like everything else!

This was his "battle wound" after his ear drops. He was NOT a fan at all. =( I'll be glad when we are done with them!

Sweet boy passed out

Reunited again! These two are so sweet together! She misses him so much when she is away from him and I really think he misses her, too!

Hopefully the tubes do the trick and will stay in for a while! Would be nice to not have any more ear infections for a LONG time!

Into EVERYTHING

This little guy is ON THE MOVE ... and into ANYTHING and EVERYTHING he can get to!

Who, me?!?
Look at that innocent little face!

Here is he "posing" for a picture in his new play corner. He knocked over the lamp that is in the corner, so I had to rearrange his toys. So far, it has kept him from messing with the lamp any more. I'm so glad I was right there when he knocked it over and caught it before it came crashing down on his head!

This is the look he gives you when he's in the middle of doing something he is not supposed to be doing ... or right before he does it! Little stinker!

 Working Away

 Love him!

Caught red handed getting into Daddy's CDs. Think they may need to find a new home.

He loves getting up under this chair and playing.

Found him in Lydia's tent one afternoon ... He was pretty proud of him self.

The plant stand had to find a new home. Dude was OBSESSED with it! I couldn't do anything without him heading straight for it ... and he is FAST!

 Hi!!

 He has so much fun!

It won't be long before he's up and running around all over the place! Not sure if it will be easier or harder! Guess we'll wait a little bit and find out! =)

Memorial Day Weekend - Part 2

Looked out the window one morning and saw Lydia and Gigi coloring ... so sweet

One happy little girl ... She loved this little car at Harps!! Of course, she loved the cookie, too!

I found a big box of children's books from when we were kids and Lydia thought she was in heaven!

Was trying to get a picture of me and Lydia at Sonic Happy Hour and this is the picture I got. She wasn't happy that I ordered her a purple slush. =)

A little better!

After she tried it, she was all smiles! She loved it!

Lydia and Caroline enjoying dinner at the picnic table

Lydia LOVES these girls! So glad that they were able to come over and play. Lydia is already asking when she can play with them again! =)

So thankful for my momma!!

Love these two ... and the kiddos, too!

Love that we got to play with Grandmother again!

We had so much fun in Searcy. It had been way too long since we had been to visit. If it wasn't for coming home to Daddy, I am not sure the kids would have wanted to leave! Can't wait to go back!

Memorial Day Weekend Part 1

The kids and I made our 2nd Annual trip to Searcy for Memorial Day. =) This is Jeff's CRAZY time at work, so instead of staying at home by ourselves, we go and have fun at "The G House"!

All packed up and headed out!

My mom and aunt had tickets to a local dinner theater Friday night, so Grandmother came over to keep us company. I am SO thankful that she did! She helped me get the kids fed and in bed, which was awesome since they were both exhausted!

Lydia and Grandmother

Jack Henry getting some lovin' from Grandmother

Lydia eating her breakfast at the new picnic table. She loved it out there ... thinking we may have to get one for our back porch!

Crazy kid loved playing with this basket. He dumped out all the toys and would play with it forever.

Lydia eating her treat from the new candy shop in town ... a strawberry cake ball truffle!

Granna with the kiddos

This picture cracked me up! Never a dull moment with Lydia around!

That's better! =)

Granna and Lydia watering the flowers. Lydia asked all day if it was time to water ... she loves that little chore.

Working hard

Jack Henry and I just chilled in front of the fountain and watched everyone work. =)

Our Week

Here are some random pictures from our week ...

Lydia chilling in the back seat with her sucker on the way home from church. She loves having the window down and the wind blowing in her face.

Jack Henry and his favorite trick ... pulling up on EVERYTHING!

This little girl LOVES to learn. One afternoon she wanted to work on one of her workbooks and I couldn't get her to stop. I kept telling her she was going to finish and not have anything else to do! Hah!

Making chocolate chip cookies to take to Daddy's work

Love this sweet girl

Bubbles

This guy LOVES all of the books at the library. If he had his way, he would pull every last one of them off the shelves.

Reading a little Elmo and Grover

On to a Christmas book

One book is never enough, right?!?

Such a big boy =)

Love this picture ... He fell asleep right after he took his bottle, couldn't stay awake a minute longer ... After I laid him down it was time to wake her up from her nap and she would not wake up for anything!
