Go Red Wolves!!

All dressed up ready to root on the Red Wolves!
Jeff and I were able to go up to Jonesboro on Saturday for the ASU game. We had a wonderful time and thankful that Mom watched Lydia for us while we went. I know that she would love all the people, music and excitement...but not sure for how long! It was nice not to have to worry with her and be able to enjoy the game and time with friends! Jeff and I also enjoyed a day with each other! We haven't had a lot of those kinds of days lately...and they are nice every once in a while!
Guess she wasn't in the mood for a picture! Oh well..she's still cute! Don't you just love her "Red Wolf" bow that I found at a consignment sale in Searcy?!? I was so excited! Red Wolf stuff is so hard to find!

The weather was PERFECT on Saturday! Sunny and a nice breeze!

Before the game
We wish that the outcome of the game had been better (we lost), but it was a good game to watch. They were ahead until the last few minutes, and then Troy scored and won the game. =( Maybe next time! I also wish that I had got more pictures during the game (of the game and friends...), but I didn't think about it! Guess we'll have to go back!

Mt. Magazine - Part 2

Here are some more pictures from our trip to Mt. Magazine!
On top of Mt. Magazine
She loves to play with straps and buckles! They keep her occupied for the longest time!

Walking up the steps all by herself! She's such a big girl!

Check out that fog...it was crazy!

We went down to the lodge on Friday night to go swimming for a little bit. Lydia was not too sure about it at first, but once she got in she loved it. She did not want to leave when it was time!

Smiling at Uncle Shawn
Umm...do you think she might be the center of attention?!?

First swimming lesson with Daddy! She did great!
We stopped in Altus on our way home to tour one of the wineries up there, but we were losing Lydia, so we didn't get to take the tour. It smelled wonderful up there and was country was beautiful! Grape vineyards everywhere!

Lydia and Uncle Shawn hanging out

We looked back after we had been on the road for maybe 5 minutes and this is what we saw...she was one tired little girl!

We had such a wonderful time while we were there. It was nice to get away for a few days and spend time together as a family. Other than Lydia not sleeping (therefore we didn't sleep!) it was a great trip. Thanks Nena K & Papa T for taking us along with you!!

Mt. Magazine-Part 1

We had a wonderful time at Mt. Magazine last week. If you've never been...you should check it out! Jeff's mom and stepdad rented a cabin up there for us all to stay in and it was beautiful. It was really rustic, which I loved. It overlooked the valley and was so peaceful. Lydia loved it so much that she was up from 12:30 until 4:00 each night! Here are a few pictures from our stay...

Lydia with Papa T pointing out the birds.

She's becoming such a big girl!!

She loves to eat with a fork! Doesn't seem like she should be that big!

She also likes to hold her own banana!! She really looks like a monkey now! =)

Outside of the lodge, there is this beautiful rock waterfall. Lydia was mesmerized by it. I wanted to get a picture of her sitting on the little wall in front of it, but she was wanting to get into the water! Oh well! Maybe another trip!

Checking out the waterfall with Uncle Shawn and Aunt Bethany

Trying to climb in!

Look at the view!
It was really foggy the first and last day we were there. Thankfully the second day we were able to get out and look off the mountain and enjoy the view. More pictures to come!!

18 Month Official Weigh-In

Lydia had her 18 month dr. appointment on Thursday. She did great...other than not liking the doctor touching her! Oh well...guess it's normal. He said that she looked great and is developing right on schedule! Here are her 18 month numbers! I can't believe how big she is! We were both surprised that she's only gained about a pound in the last 3 months, but not surprised that she's grown about 2 inches!
Weight - 25 lbs. 2 oz. (63%)
Length - 34 inches (97%)
Head - 18 1/2 inches (63%)
I made Lydia some apple cinnamon muffins for her 1 1/2 birthday! She loved it and gobbled it up! =)

Hey, Mom!

She didn't want to waste any!

Yumm!

Lydia at 18 Months

Lydia is such a BIG girl now! We can hardly believe that she's already 18 months old. She is turning into such a playful and silly girl. Never a dull moment when she's around. She goes non-stop until it's time for a nap or bed and then most of the time she passes out in less than 15 minutes! She's taking 1 nap a day now and usually sleeps from 1-4. She's sleeping really well at night and is doing a little better about sleeping in! Most mornings she sleeps until at least 7, but hardly later than 7:30! Guess she's just ready to get her day started!

We are constantly getting comments on how happy Lydia is! The only time she gets fussy is if she's really hungry or tired...other than that she's very content! We are going to a new church now, and her first Sunday there the lady in her class kept telling me that she was hysterical! Now, we have no clue what she was doing...but I guess she was pretty funny! She has the sweetest laugh and the cutest giggle! We love when she gets started and can't stop!

She's still not saying too many words, but she is really trying. She is saying "Bye Bye", "DDD" (DVD), "Momma", "Dada", and "Dog". She loves to make animal sounds and also say "Choo Choo" when she hears a train. She even does the little arm motion for it! We are teaching her a little sign language and at the moment she does "Please", "Thank You", "More", "Banana", and "Milk". She's picking up new things everyday. We love watching her grow and do new things!

Lydia LOVES to play! She loves to carry around her purses. She fills them up and empties them over, and over, and over again! She still loves to read and be read to. Some of her favorite books are: "The Ear Book", "Where's the Big Red Dog", "Biscuit Visits The Pumpkin Patch", "Bubbles, Bubbles Everywhere", "Where's Tommy Going", "Book of Prayers" and many more! She loves her Hillsong Kids Worship DVD. We watch it at least once a day and listen to the CD almost every time we are in the car. She is starting to sing along to it! It's precious!

Her blocks are another one of her favorite toys! We bought her this shape sorter set at a consignment sale and it was totally worth the $4 we paid for it! She plays with it all the time! She tries to do the motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes"! It's so cute! Can't wait for her to start trying to sing the words! She loves to play with her baby dolls. It's so sweet to watch her love on them and rock them! She loves real babies too!

She loves her mommy and daddy and loves to spend time with us! She gets so excited when she sees Jeff pull in the driveway! It's so sweet! We love her so much and are so thankful that God has blessed us with her. We pray daily that God will guide and direct us as we teach, raise, and discipline her.
We have her 18 month check-up on Thursday, so I'll post her stats then! Also, we are leaving on Thursday for a little get-away with Jeff's mom, Tim, Shawn, and Bethany! We are going to Mt. Magazine and are really looking forward to a few days away!

Happy Grandparents Day!

Sunday was "Grandparents Day" and we did a little art project to celebrate! Lydia made cards to send to her grandparents and she loved doing it! She wasn't sure about the paint at first, but after we made the first two or three, so was having a lot of fun!!

Getting all painted up!

Making the flower

Finished project!!

We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family surrounding us. Jeff and I are thankful for the wonderful grandparents that we have and love that Lydia has the same thing. One thing Lydia is not lacking is love from her grandparents!

She loves her Pops & Reedee!

She loves her Granna!!

She loves her Nena K & Papa T!

She loves her Pawpaw!
She has so much that she is going to be able to learn from her grandparents! From deer hunting, to fashion, to piano, to gardening! She is really one blessed girl! Her grandparents are so involved in her life and she loves being able to spend time with them. Whenever their names are mentioned, she gets SO excited! It's adorable! Thank you so much for all your love and support!! We love you so much!

The Wonder Place

Over the weekend, we had a get-together with some of our friends from ASU. We had so much fun catching up and hanging out with everyone. Friday night we all got together for some BBQ and catching up. It's amazing what can happen in a couple of years! On Saturday a bunch of us wanted to take our kids to the zoo, but the weather was not cooperating, so we decided to take them to the Wonder Place and let them play. We've wanted to take Lydia there for a while, but never seem to think about it when we have nothing to do.

Lydia had a BLAST!! We are thinking about getting a pass so that we can go this winter when it's cold and we can't get outside to burn off energy! It will be nice for us to be able to get out of the house! Here are some pictures of our day!

18 Months Old!

Lydia turned 18 months old today! I can hardly believe that a year and a half has FLOWN by! I'll do up a post in the next day or so about Lydia at 18 months! She's quite the character! We were able to get out and enjoy some beautiful days last week! She let me take some pictures of her...and I got some pretty good shots! Just wanted to share them with everyone! Enjoy!

She is getting to be so big! I can't believe that she is 18 months old! She's not a baby anymore...she's turning into a big girl!

Mmmm.....

The other night Lydia had her first popsicle and she loved it! Here are a few pictures of her enjoying it!

Trying to take a BIG bite!

Whoa...an even bigger bite!

LOVE the red lips!

This picture tells what she said after every lick...

Mmmm...!!

She was too cute! Wish pictures could talk! =)
