Busses, Pumpkins and Fun

Lydia has been looking forward to this day for a while ...

First ...
It was All Pro Dad Breakfast at school day.

Second ...
She FINALLY was able to ride on a school bus!

And third ...
It was field trip day to the pumpkin patch!

 She loved having Daddy there!

 All smiles =)

Waiting to load up for the hay ride to the pumpkin patch. Poor girl is so sleep deprived, and I don't know what to do about it. =( Frustrates me to no end!

Finally in our seats! Waiting for them to start up the tractor!

She was so excited to be on the "hay stack ride"! ;)

Wandering around the pumpkin patch looking for the perfect pumpkin.

She found her friend, Annabel, and helped her look for a pumpkin!

 Lydia and the great pumpkin

 Love this guy!

After the hay ride, the kids were able to play (for a LONG TIME!) and think they all had a blast!

Coming through the hay tunnel. She kept saying there was something spooky in there, but she kept going back through so I guess it wasn't too scary!

 She's  getting so tall ...

As you can see, she had a fun day at the pumpkin patch!

I'm so glad that Jeff and I were both able to go with her on her field trip. She had a tough time listening (of course, only to me and Jeff!) and made me want to pull my hair out, but at the end of the day all that matters is that she had a great trip and hopefully made some fun memories.

Week 9 - 1/4 Done

Wow ... Lydia has officially completed 1/4 of her Kindergarten year! Still seems crazy to me! She still loves school and is ready to go every morning! So thankful she loves to learn and isn't tired of going to school 5 days a week. =) She thrives on having a schedule and a routine, so school is perfect for her!

All ready for another week of school!

She got to bust out her rain coat and boots for some rainy, yucky days this week. All she needs is an umbrella and she would be all set. =)

She loves her new Halloween hair bow from Polka Dot Posies! She was excited to wear it this week.

Lydia's book fair finds!
As crazy as it sounds, I've been waiting for the day to work/go to the book fair with Lydia! I remember my mom working the book fair when we were in school and all the fun books we would come home with. I think I probably dreamed of this day! Hah! I also remember that she worked so many book fairs (or they felt sorry for her because she was at the school all the time!) that they let us go to their warehouse and get books. It was AWESOME!! Maybe one day I'll be that lucky! ;)

Outside Fun at The "G" House

We always have fun when we go to Granna and Gigi's house!! The weather was perfect for playing outside so we took advantage of it!! These 2 could spend ALL day outside if we let them! =)

They loved their new bubble guns from Mimi and Papa!

He was so cute running through the bubbles!

They were coming out of the gun faster than he could pop them and he was getting so tickled.

He finally handed over his gun and just stuck with popping for a while.

Lydia trying to pop all the bubbles Granna was shooting out at her.

Can you tell she was having fun?!?

Lydia discovered a turtle while we were outside playing. =)

Jack Henry taking a peek. He wasn't really sure what to think about it.

I'm not a reptile fan, so I just zoomed in and got a shot of it.

Putting the turtle down so he could go take a nap while the kiddos napped. He went right under a bush (probably terrified!), so they were happy he was napping while they did!

So glad Granna and Gigi watched our babies while we went to the homecoming game. Love knowing that they are taken care of and having fun!

Walk To School Day - Fall 2013

Lydia's school participates in the National Walk to School Day. They make it a big deal and the kids loved it! Lydia was so excited! We live a little over a mile from the school, but she never complained one time! They have drop off points where parents can drop off their kids in the neighborhood and they could walk with the group. There was a really big group of kids, which made it more fun!

A few pictures from our morning ...

It was chilly start, but I was thankful we weren't sweating by the time we made it to school! She walked with her teacher for a little bit, keeping an eye on me making sure I didn't leave, I guess! Once we got to the school they had breakfast for the kids to eat, which was awesome!

Preschool friends turned into Kindergarten friends! So thankful they met at FBC and now are in school together! I'm also thankful for their mommas! We've had fun together, too. =)

Sweet girl ready to go in for Rise and Shine!

A Visit From "Tink"!

Lydia's personal ToothFairy, Tink, made her first official appearance at our house last night. Still hard to believe that our baby girl is old enough to be losing teeth. She looks adorable with a little hole in her mouth when she smiles. =) Her tooth pillow had not arrived when she lost her tooth (it was ordered 1 day too late!), so she wrote the Tink a little note and came home from school to a little package!

She was so excited when she walked into her room and found a present for her.

She loved her owl tooth fairy pillow and new book! She wanted to sit down right then and read the book. =)

Check out that itty bitty tooth. =) The hole in her mouth looks A LOT bigger than that tooth looks in her hand!

Tucking it away ...

All ready for the ToothFairy!

The ToothFairy arrived!! She left behind a cute little note to document when she losses all of her teeth and of course some $$!
