Halloween Out Takes -)

These pictures made me laugh when I went through them and I want to remember these days. =)

Everybody look at Daddy ...

Jack Henry is checking out the jack-o-latern and Lydia looks like she's falling asleep

 And he's gone!

 Sit right here ...

Never mind ...

Know one day we'll MAYBE be able to snap a picture and move on and that will be awesome ... BUT I will miss these days. Love these 2 and really trying to cherish every moment I can with them.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the Princess Fairy and her little Pumpkin =)
This was the best I could get of both of them. Hard to get a good picture with a run away pumpkin. =) More of those coming up later. ;)

Love this little costume on him! The hood was WAY too big, so he wasn't a fan of it. When he turned his head, he got lost in it. Poor guy got so frustrated. =)

 Such a pretty girl.

Daddy with the princess fairy and SERIOUS pumpkin!

Our pumpkin was SO over taking pictures! He was ready to RUN!

 LOVE this dress on her!

We met some friends to walk around with to go trick-or-treating. Lydia was so excited to go with Jack and Charlie.

 Checking out her stash

This little guy was a trooper, yet again! He sat in his stroller until we were almost done. He lost it right before 7:00. Guess he knew it was bedtime and was ready to be in his comfy jammies and bed.

Bummed this picture didn't turn out better. =( Argh!
Charlie (sock monkey pirate), Jack (pirate) and Lydia

 Mr. Serious

Saying "Thank You!" =)

Lydia had THE BEST TIME! So glad we were able to go with some friends so she could have someone to run up to doors with. She was her usual wild and crazy self, but we survived! So fun making memories with her.

PreK 4 Halloween Party

Lydia's Halloween party at school finally arrived! She's been talking about it ALL month! She's woke up ready to eat a quick breakfast and get her costume on. =)

Sweet Fairy Princess (without her wings and wand ... Totally forgot!)
She LOVED wearing her dress from Aunt Pammie's wedding again. All she wants to do is dance and twirl when she's wearing it. =)

Check out ALL that candy!! Our bucket was almost too small!

Waiting very patiently behind Strawberry Shortcake to get some candy.

Look at all those cute kiddos!

She was so sweet when she got her candy. She said "Trick-or-Treat" and then "Thank You" EVERY time without having to be reminded! Love when she uses her manners. =)

 She was about trick-or-treated out!

After tick-or-treating for about 40 minutes, it was PARTY time!

Praying before their snack. Love it!

Waiting to dig into their Halloween cupcakes and cookies =)

This girl can put away some sweets! If only she ate her "real" food as quickly as she did junk!

 Lydia's Class

Lydia was so excited when she saw there was a bean bag toss game to play after their snacks. She could hardly wait to play!!

Think we may need to add this to her Christmas Wish List!

 Working on their pumpkin craft

After the party we went to Lydia's favorite lunch spot, Burger Shack, for lunch. We loved having some one-on-one time with her! So thankful Jeff's mom was able to come out and watch Jack Henry so I could go to the party.

Pumpkin Carving 2012

I'll start with the outtakes! =) It's had to get a picture of both kids ... together ... smiling ... and looking at the camera!
They sure make life fun though!

Here is a decent one! Looking at Daddy being silly and not the camera, but oh well! You take what you can get! =)

We were finally able to carve our pumpkin last night. Lydia was SO excited!

Her BIG pumpkin she picked out on her class trip to the pumpkin patch.

Lil man with the BIG pumpkin.

 Here goes nothing ...

Thought he might like to sit and watch, but it lasted all of 2 minutes ... maybe! Then he was ready to get down and play.

Digging in to get all the yucky stuff out. = 0

 Me and my girl!

 Daddy's girl

I drew the face and Jeff did the carving. I am NOT an artist so it's not the best jack-o-latern in the world, but oh well. The kids don't care!

Playing with the seeds while Daddy's doing the carving.

And this is what Jack Henry was doing! He's so silly!

 The finished product!

Lydia wasn't cooperating, so we didn't get a picture of them together ... maybe tonight. =)

"Found this little "poem" several years ago and have loved it ever since ...

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff -- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then he carves you a new smiling face and puts HIS light inside you to shine for all the world to see."

Don't remember where I found it, but love being able to use something so practical to teach God's love to our kids.

Through the Years ...

I couldn't help myself ...

So thankful for these 2 little miracles!!

Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

We had SO much fun at the Pumpkin Patch today! We got there and noticed that there were 2 school buses that were loading up with kids and NO other cars. We got there JUST in time! We had the whole place to ourselves. =)

So glad one of the guys saw us taking pictures and took one of all 4 of us together.

 Our 2 cuties

 Love these guys!

Jack Henry had the most serious face almost the whole time we were there. It was so funny!

 Sweet kisses =)

Lydia has been talking about this corn pit since we were at this pumpkin patch 2 years ago. We were going to try a new one out, but she insisted on going where the corn was ... so off we went. =)

She made it through the corn maze! Yay!

Jack Henry even went through ... with Daddy's help of course.

He looks so big in his blue jeans and plaid shirt. Love him!

Can't believe how big she is getting ...

Barely got his picture before he ran off!

I think the animals were their favorite part.

They had a huge sunflower maze that we went through. It was so pretty!

This girl LOVES her some flowers. =)

 What a smile!

They were so nice and took us on a hayride even though we were the only ones there. Don't think Jack Henry knew what to think!

 Look at that face ...
 I promise he had fun!!

 There it is again! =)

We had the best time together and I'm so glad we were able to go! It was a little warm (80* warm!), but there was a nice breeze so it wasn't too bad. Can't wait to carve and paint our pumpkins we got!
