Love to "Eat"

For Christmas this year, Lydia got a little play kitchen, play food, table and chairs, and a tent to play with. We made her a little play room and put all of this back in there. One of her FAVORITE things to do is "eat"! She will sign it and say it over and over again until you go back there with her to play. She waits on Jeff to get home every night and as soon as he walks in the door she grins really big ... and then runs off to her playroom while saying "eat, eat, eat" all the way down the hall!

I love to watch them play together back there. It's the sweetest thing to see him in her little bitty tent and hear her giggling all over the house!

Warming up some food in the microwave for Daddy.

The two of them inside her itty bitty tent! So cute!

Sharing her ice cream cone with Daddy!

That must be one good ice cream cone!

I got a picture with her real quick! She doesn't really like me interrupting her and Daddy's playtime!

Flower Girl

I've been wanting to get Lydia some bright flowers to go in a vase in her bedroom and we finally got around to getting some! She helped me pick out pink and "geen" flowers! They look so cute in her room!

She loves to smell flowers!

Very carefully arranging the flowers in the vase!

She worked very hard. Reedee ... do you need any part-time help at the flower shop?!? =0

Still working!

One last smell before we put them on her bookshelf!

Lil Chef

We had some friends over on Saturday night and Lydia helped me make cookies and Mexican Chicken Casserole!

Lydia in her apron she got for Christmas!

Putting the cookie dough on the cookie sheet!

She worked REALLY hard at this!

Helping Mommy pour the ingredients in the bowl!

She was so cute trying to stir the casserole!

She is such a little clown!

First Trike Ride!!

The weather finally warmed up (for one day!) enough for us to get out and let Lydia ride her new tricycle! She's been begging to ride it ever since Christmas. So glad she finally got a chance. She had so much fun riding it!

Let's go!

Trying to figure out how to get moving again!

And she's off!

I had so much fun watching her "ride" around! She hasn't quite got the whole concept of the pedals and how to make it go, but she had fun and that's all that matters!!

"C" is for Cousin

Lydia loved being able to spend so much time with Eden while we were in Searcy. The first thing out of her mouth when she woke up in the morning and at nap was "Eden". Eden sleeps quite a bit later than Lydia, so she had to wait on her to wake up, which she was not a fan of!

In their matching pj's!

Are they not too cute?!?

Cheese!!

Such a sweet smile!

They were "slow" dancing one night to Coldplay's Lullaby CD, but I'm not sure what they were doing in this picture!

We went to eat Mexican one night, and they gave the girls balloons. They had a blast with them! They would make the circle from the kitchen ... through the dining room ... through the den and ... back into the kitchen for the longest time! They were quite entertained by them!

Eden walking in her high heels!

Lydia in hers! These kept them entertained for a long time too! The walked the same route that they did with the balloons! Loved watching them walk in these slippers!

2 girls in dog ears!
Such sweet girls!

Chocolate Gravy LOVER!

One of my childhood memories consists of Grandmother's Chocolate Gravy. I've never had anyone else's that is quite like hers! Nothing like a nice warm biscuit with a spoonful of chocolate gravy on it! Lydia got her first taste of it last week while we were in town! I'll let you decide from the pictures whether or not she liked it ...

I figured it would be easier for her to dip her biscuit in the gravy ...

The girls loved eating breakfast together!

First bite ...

And she didn't stop until all of her biscuit was gone! She LOVED it! =) Yea for a new generation of Chocolate Gravy lovers!

Fun @ The "G" House

We had so much fun in Searcy while Matt and Beth were in town! The girls LOVE to play with both of them!
Eden and Lydia rolling the ball with Uncle Matt!

The girls thought it was so funny to be so high in the air! Lydia didn't know what to think at first ... but ended up loving it!

Lydia loves her Aunt Beth ... or as she says "Bef"

God blessed me with 3 brothers growing up and I wouldn't trade them for the world, but I always wanted a sister! So glad that God has blessed me with 4 sister-in-laws so far! They are all wonderful!!

Lydia loves her Daddy!

Thanks Mom and Betty for letting us all crash at your house! It was a little crazy at times but so much fun to all be together! Y'all are wonderful hosts and can't wait until we can all come visit again! Love ya!

Photo Shoot!

How many pictures does it take to get a good one with 2 toddlers ...

Quite a few! And this is only a couple of them!! =0 I thought that they were cute, so I decided to put them on here!

Trying to get Eden to come closer ...

She wasn't really wanting to ...

Thought this one was cute!

Lydia and Eden got tickled about something ... Too cute!

We had so much fun while Matt and Beth were in town! We can't wait until they come next time and baby Brisco will be with them! They are going to be such wonderful parents!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We had a busy day on Valentine's, so we celebrated with Lydia a couple days early. We took her to Chik-Fil-A ... one of her favorite restaurants right now! She loves their chicken nuggets and of course their fries! After dinner, we came home and gave her a couple of things that we got her! She was so excited when she saw the bag covered in hearts and we told her it was just for her!

Her new snap-n-style baby!

She also got a new Olivia book and a potty training book! She LOVES her books!

"Shhh" ... the baby is sleeping!

I love to see her cuddle her babies and say "shh"! It's so sweet!

I am so glad that we were able to take a little time and celebrate with our little Valentine! We want to try to always make Lydia feel special and loved. Jeff and I celebrated the weekend before (and of course I forgot to take any pictures!). We went and had sushi and it was so good! After that we did a little shopping and just enjoyed a little time together! You forgot how special a dinner conversation is after you have kids! =)
