Changing....

Our little girl is changing so much! She loves looking at ceiling fans....sitting in her swing...being outside...sitting in her bouncy seat...looking at bright lights...looking all around...and even her bath! The last time we gave her a bath she did so good! She was so calm after the bath and seemed so relaxed! She is finally starting to get hair on top of her head and is trying to smile and coo! Can't wait until we can catch her on camera.

We are taking our first BIG road trip this weekend! We are going to Nashville to finally meet Uncle Matt and Aunt Beth! We can hardly wait! Of course Lydia is excited to see her cousin Eden and Uncle Mike and Aunt Leanne! We will have LOTS of pictures I'm sure! Happy Memorial Day!

Two Month Check-Up

Today day was the day that I've been dreading for a while now...2 month shots! She did so good! I think better than Mommy & Daddy! The nurse was very quick and before Lydia had time to really get crying too hard, Daddy had her in his arms and she calmed down. We were so proud of her!

They weighed and measured her and she is really growing! She weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 5/8 inches long! She is in the 5 percentile for her weight and 25 percentile for her length. She has gained 3 pounds 6 ounces and about 3 inches since she was born! The doctor said she is looking good and we agree!

Hope that everyone had a "Happy Mother's Day"! I had a great "Mother's Day Weekend"! Not ready for the weekend to be over! Jeff and Lydia made it very special!! We had a good time spending time with our family...just went by too fast! Lydia is now eight weeks old! We can't believe it! It has gone by so fast...and she is changing daily. She is trying to smile...can't wait until she does! We go to the doctor on Tuesday! We will find out what she officially weighs and how long she is. We are excited to see how much she has grown...but we are not looking forward to her getting her first shots. Hopefully she will do well with them!

Lydia had her first "modeling" experience today! She was on channel 4's morning show modeling a "Buck Girl" onesie. "Buck Girl" is Jeff's stepmom's business. It is hunting apparel for women...lots of pink and very cute! :) Lydia did a great job and looked very cute in her pink camo! She also loved getting to see her Reedee and Aunt Pammie!

Lydia continues to grow and change daily. It is so much fun watching her do new things. She is becoming even more alert than she was when I wrote the last post. She is still tiny, but we can tell that she is gaining weight. We go to the doctor next Tuesday for her 2 month check-up (can't believe it's time for that already) so we will have an official weight then. Can't wait to see how much she has grown. She is probably somewhere between 7 1/2 and 8 pounds. She is starting to go to sleep on her own (sometimes). Of course we still take every opportunity to cuddle and hold her. She is such a good baby. We've been so blessed.

We made another trip to Searcy over the weekend and had a blast! Friday night Caroline came over to Grandmother's house and loved on Lydia. She is so cute with her! She is so sweet and gentle. Saturday Jeff's family came up and Craig took a family picture for us. Lydia did GREAT! She slept through the whole thing...which is what we hoped she would do! :) We think that Lydia must love going to church! Sunday morning and Sunday night she stayed awake the whole way there. Of course she did not make it through the service...but she tried! ;)

On Monday, Lydia and I went and had our first lunch date with Daddy! She got to meet everybody that Jeff works with and then we went and had BBQ for lunch. She seemed to enjoy being at work with Daddy! She was so quiet! She even got to see Uncle Shawn for a minute.

We've had a good week so far and are already looking forward to the weekend so we can spend more time with Daddy! We love it when he is home! :)
