Little Lady

Seems like here lately, Lydia is turning more and more into a "big girl" and less and less a "little girl". Makes me sad. =( I've always known that this would happen, but I guess I was hoping it would take a little longer! People always say that time flies when you have kids, but I don't think you really realize it until you are in the middle of it!

Sweet and Sassy

She loves all things girlie ... headbands, hair bows, dresses, finger nails painted! I love it!

However, she also loves animals (the stuffed kind!) and doesn't mind getting rowdy and a little dirty (as long as she can clean up!).

Waiting on our lunch dates at Coltons after school one day.

She loves all things crafty and loves making things for other people.

Loving that fact that almost 3 years after she got this shirt, she can still wear it!

 Little fashionista ;)

She LOVES Eden!

So thankful for her and the little lady that she's becoming!

Sick ... Again ...

We've had a rough start to our year. We were hoping we hoping Jack Henry's tubes would help keep us out of the doctor's office this winter, but it didn't quite happen like that. We had a good run, but we were there the first week of January. =(

Staying close to Mommy trying to avoid sick germs and little kids who are running around with flu symptoms touching EVERYTHING!

What?!? Another ear infection?!? Yup ... that's right. =( Poor guy also had bronchitis.

2 weeks later, this little girl started running a high fever and complaining of a sore throat. So back to the doctor we went.
No strep, but some sort of virus. =( She felt awful!

2 weeks after that ... back to the doctor again for both kids. =(

Sinus infections for both and fluid in Jack Henry's ear. Don't they look like they feel awful?

8 days later, she was better, but we were back with the little man. A full blown ear infection in both ears with major drainage and blood coming out. Another round of antibiotics and ear drops for him.

I am hoping that the weather will warm up and we can keep the sickness away. We've had a rough couple months and we are all ready to be healthy!

Brother Sister Love

I LOVE watching Jack Henry and Lydia interact with each other. Yes, there are times that they drive each other CRAZY ... but they really do love each other! He wants to be right where she is, doing what she's doing pretty much all of the time. She likes her breaks, but 99% of the time she wants to be right where he is, doing what he's doing. She misses him like crazy when she's away from him. He doesn't like watching her leave and he gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot at her school to pick her up. It's the sweetest thing!

Watching it snow outside.

Most of the time she's really good about helping him do things.

She LOVES reading to him.

Sweet babies

Playing with Jack Henry's barn and animals. This has been a HIT at our house! Who would have known?!?

Can't you see the love?!? ;)

He loves watching her when she eats. It's so funny when he mimics her ... when she takes a bite, he takes one. When she takes a drink, he takes one. =)

They LOVE taking a bath together. It's a little more stressful for mommy and daddy, but they have a blast!

Praying that they will always be close!

Valentine's Prep

I love doing crafts and projects with the kids. It's work and can be messy, but they love it! Here's what we worked on for Valentine's Day this year.

We made one of these for the grandparents. We normally do cookies, but thought they might like something they can keep. =)

Lydia worked hard on her valentine's for her friends at school.

Love that she wanted to write their names on the cards. She did such a good job!

She was so excited to take them to school!

 Finished product! Cute, but easy!

All ready to go to school for the party! And yes, she didn't feel good, but I didn't even notice before school. =( Looking back on these pictures I can tell. =( She told me after school she didn't feel good all day, but wanted to go to her party so she didn't tell her teacher. =/ Little stinker!

Happy Heart Day

Here are some pictures from our Valentine's Day this year. We had a great day together as a family! Love spending this holiday with all my loves! =)

2 of my loves!

Headed out for a fun morning of errands and lunch with Daddy!

I wasn't very creative with breakfast this year. We had to be out of our house for an inspection, so we had Eggo waffles cut out in heart shapes. Luckily the kids didn't mind, too much! ;)

Jeff surprised Lydia with flowers at lunch. She was so excited and couldn't get enough of them!

I LOVE this kid! (Even if he doesn't want to look at the camera for a picture!)

Not letting go yet ...

Love this picture ...

Love these guys!

Lydia spent the afternoon making Valentine's to send to family.

Present time!

Showing Daddy his new book.

No celebration is complete without a little Lemon Tree!

=)

My other love!! Our 10th Valentine's Day together! Love him more now than I ever thought I could!

Mommy Daughter Day

Lydia and I had the best day together! Her Prek4 class went to the children's theater downtown this morning to watch The Three Little Pigs and The Billy Goats Gruff. I am so glad that I was able to go with her and we were able to spend some time together just the 2 of us.

We dropped Jack Henry off at Mimi's house for him to play. So thankful we have family that help us out so we can do fun things! I know he had A LOT more fun playing with Mimi than he would have had with us!

She was so excited! She was a little bummed when she found out there would be no popcorn though. =(

Lydia and her friend,  Anna Kate

The aftermath of a round or two of Ring Around The Rosie. These are some happy giggly girls!

Lydia and her friend, Riley, checking out the stage.

We had front row seats! Think it kind of freaked Lydia out a little bit, but by the end she was loving it!

Ready for the show to begin!

After the play, I let Lydia pick where we ate lunch. Of course, she picked Chick-Fil-A! Her favorite!

After lunch, we had to drop off our consignment stuff for Rhea Lana. She was such a trooper while I tagged and got everything hung up.

Our last stop of the day was Gigi's Cupcakes! She was so excited about her cupcake! Check out all that icing!

I love spending time with this girl. Makes me sad when I think about her being in school next year and days like this will become few. =( I'm so thankful God has allowed me to stay home these past almost 5 years with her. It's been such a blessing to me! I plan on soaking up all I can the next few months!
