Runny Nose, Shots...and a TOOTH!

What more could she go through in one day?? We felt so bad for her! Thursday I discovered that a tooth bad broken through on her bottom gums. (Since then a second one has broken through on the bottom!) The same day that she had to go to the doctor and get her 6 month shots...and her nose was so stopped up that she could not lay down to go to sleep. Finally I put her in her swing and she slept in there for 2 hours! Don't know that she has ever done that! The doctor told us to wait another week on her nose and if it's not better he will probably give her an antibiotic to clear it up.

Here are her official numbers from her check-up! She is getting so big!

Weight - 15 pounds, 14 ounces (41%)

Length - 27 inches (85%)

Head Circumference - 16 3/4 inches (48%

**My mom looked in my baby book to see where I was at 6 months, and Lydia is almost exactly the same size that I was, only an ounce difference! And, I got my first tooth when I was six months old! :) **
He said that she was looking good and told us that we could go ahead and start her on baby food. We started with Sweet Peas...at first she was not too sure about it, but tonight she did a lot better. Hopefully she will do well with eating real food. We are hoping it will help her sleep a little better at night.

What in the world did he just put in my mouth?!?

"Do I look happy about this?"

Last night we decided to go to the Arkansas Baptist football game for a little bit. This is where Jeff graduated high school. We just stayed until half time, but we had a good time. It was good to get out of the house for a little bit and the weather was perfect! Lydia did so well. She could not stop looking around at everything and everyone. I know Jeff hopes there will be many more football games in the future!!

Today we stayed home and did absolutely nothing but watch football and spend time together as a family. It was a blast! I can't remember the last time that we were able to do that. It was nice to not have anywhere we needed to go or anything to do.

A Day With Daddy!!

I had to work on the Searchlight today...so Jeff took off to spend the day with Lydia. They had so much fun! I know that Lydia enjoyed having Daddy there to play with during the day. They played...slept...and even went grocery shopping! :) They had a full day! I miss her so much when I am away from her. I feel so blessed to have a wonderful husband and that Lydia has such a great Daddy. I love watching him with her.

She is still fighting either allergies or a cold. I feel so bad for her. Hopefully she will start to feel better soon. We go to the doctor for her 6 month check-up and shots on Thursday, so if she is not feeling better, hopefully they can tell us what we can do to help her.
We had such a wonderful time in Jonesboro on Saturday. It was a quick trip...but was so much fun. It was so good to see old friends and get to "meet" all the new babies! There have been quite a few born since we were all together last year. Hopefully next year Lydia can go with us! She had a great time playing with Granna, GiGi, and Grandmother while we were gone! Here are some pictures from the weekend!

It was such a good game! The weather was perfect...a little chill in the air! And...THEY WON 31-14!

Fun To Be Me!

Jeff and I are headed to Jonesboro in the morning for ASU's Homecoming! We are excited to see old friends and catch up. Granna is going to keep Lydia for the day...I'm sure that she will have a blast playing and being her silly self! :) Lydia was showing her "old school" school spirit in her Indian's shirt! We'll have to find her a Red Wolves shirt to wear.

Six Months Old...And A Cold :(

Lydia's six months old...I can't believe it! She has been such a huge blessing in our life already...and know that she will continue to be. She spent her "six month birthday" sick...it was so sad! She woke up Saturday night about an hour and a half after we put her to bed all stopped up. On Sunday she was running a low grade fever, didn't have a good appetite and just was not herself. :( She just wanted to be held (which I loved...but hopefully she will feel better soon) and sleep.

This is how she spent most of the day...
Here are some pictures we took of her on Sunday...

She is starting to sit up pretty well. She still falls over pretty easily when she gets distracted, but she is getting there! It won't be long! :) She loves to play with her toys and LOVES to make noise! One night last week we went to a consignment sale and I could hear her when she was quite a ways from me! It seems to get louder the sleepier she gets! It is so cute!

Big girl

Her new trick...cute isn't it!

Last week we had our lunch date with Daddy! We love when these roll around! She loves anytime that she gets to go see him! :) And of course I do too! When I tell her we are going to see him...or that he is coming home soon...or she hears his voice on the phone she gets the biggest smile on her face!

At work with Daddy

Everyday we are thankful for how God has taken care of Lydia and bringing her to where she is today. It seems like every "birthday" we are reminded where we were the day she was born and can really see how God has worked in our life since she was born. We were both so scared looking at her with tubes, IV's and monitors, but God comforted us and showed us that He was with us. She has grown so much and is doing so good! Everyday we love her more and more!

Thanks Aunt Beth and Uncle Matt for the super cute outfit!

Congratulations Shawn & Bethany!

We had such a wonderful weekend! The wedding was absolutely beautiful! Jeff and I stayed out too late Friday and Saturday night, but we had a great time. My mom and Aunt Betty (GiGi) came over and kepty Lydia so that we could enjoy ourselves...and of course Lydia had more fun being at home playing! :) Here are some pictures from the night....

On Friday morning we had a bridal brunch for Bethany and had a great time! Lydia did so well and looked adorable!

After the brunch

"Can I help you??"

Lydia is getting to be such a big girl! She loves to play and is starting to laugh. Her little laugh is adorable! When she is awake, she is moves around and makes noise the whole time. Never a dull moment! :) Now that she is rolling over, we can't put her in one place and expect her to be there for long! I know it won't be long before she is crawling all over the house! SCARY! :) She is sleeping well at night and during the day. She is such a sleeper. I guess she takes after her Mommy! She is becoming very observant. You can tell that she is trying to figure out the world around her. She is so much fun to be around and we love her so much.

Rain Rain Go Away....

Well...I guess Hurricane Gustav has decided to come to Arkansas and stick around for a few days! I don't know that I've ever seen so much wind and rain from one storm! I am so ready for the sun to come out! We had to go to Wal-Mart the other night to pick up a few things...and it is not easy to do that in the rain with a baby...in a car seat! We were soaked...but little Lydia stayed dry! That's all that matters!

Sporting the "cropped" pants and jacket! (getting the last bit of wear out of her newborn size clothes!)

After our trip to Wal-Mart...in the rain!

We woke up this morning at 5:40 with the power going out! No power and a baby do not go together! So we packed up (felt like we were moving) and headed out to Nena K and Papa T's house to spend the day! We are so glad that they had power and did not mind us coming over. Here are some pictures from our "Rain Day"!

Taking a nap at Nena K & Papa T's

She is so happy when she wakes up

She LOVES to play!

Lydia finally rolled from her back to her tummy on Monday night. Now she does it anytime you lay her down! She is so cute! Once she gets on her tummy she looks up at you with this accomplished look on her face! ADORABLE! :) I wish that I could get a video to load on here so that you could see it! ( If anyone has any tips on how to do that...let me know! :) ) She is working on sitting up. A couple of times she has lasted about 20 seconds...and then she gets distracted and falls over. She'll get there before long I'm sure!

"Night Night"
The BIG WEDDING is on Saturday! We've got a full weekend ahead of us! Bridal Brunch, Rehearsal, Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding and Reception! It's going to be a lot of fun and lots of memories (and pictures) made!
