Deer Camp - Part 2

Here are pictures from our 2nd full day at deer camp! Lydia was stylin' in her camo overalls and bow! =)

Thanks for letting us come down and stay for a few days! We had a GREAT time!

Our lil cutie peeking out of her "tent".

This is what Lydia looks like at 7:00 a.m. when she wakes up at 4:30 a.m.!! She was really wanting to sit in the deer stand, but she had to take a nap!

Too bad she didn't go with Daddy ...

because he got a deer! =) Lydia was fascinated by it!

Sitting on the 4-wheeler watching Daddy and Pops clean the deer!

Playing chase with Reedee!

Can she get any cuter?? She loved chasing her shadow around!

Using her very own handrail that Pops made for her! If we had a dollar for every time she went up and down the stairs at deer camp ... we would be rich! =)

PLEASE can I stay down here?!?

Chillin' on the swing.

Playing with Daddy under the "table".

Daddy, you look that way and I'll check this way!

Pops and Reedee put Lydia up a tent to play in! She had a BLAST!

Reedee would ask "Lydia, where's the deer?" and Lydia would do her hands like this! It was too cute!
We had so much fun while we were down there! We are looking forward to the next time we can go back!

Deer Camp - Part 1

We had the best time at deer camp this year! I was a little worried how Lydia would do (after her sleep issues at Mt. Magazine and all) but she did GREAT! The weather was perfect while we were there, so she was able to get out and play most of the day ... which of course she absolutely loved! She is such an outdoors girl! Hot or Cold, Day or Night, this girl wants to be outside!

How much stuff does it take for a family of 3 to go to deer camp??
A LOT! We had a car full!

I LOVE being at deer camp!

Next to Pops and Reedee's 'cabin' there is a big open field that was perfect for Lydia to play in! She loved playing with her ball! She's getting pretty good at kicking it ... might have another soccer player on our hands! Guess it runs in the genes!

Taking a break for a picture! It was a little chilly this morning, so we had her all bundled up. Thankfully she stayed that way!

Her new favorite outdoor activity ... riding the 4-wheeler! She was getting sleepy at this time and the ride almost put her to sleep!

Wheee ... She loved to swing on the porch swing!

I wonder how this thing works ...

Riding with Daddy!

Sitting in her new chair with her new boots on that Pops and Reedee got for her!

Jeff and I in the deer stand the first day. It is so beautiful ... not to mention the peace and quiet while sitting on the deer stand! It was really nice!

We didn't get anything that night, but we did see 3 while we were in the stand. We were able to watch this spike for about 20 minutes. I love to watch deer move ... they are so graceful!

Lydia sporting my orange hat after we got back in from hunting!

Reedee and Lydia roasting PINK marshmallows! Lydia didn't like the marshmallows, but enjoyed being by the fire and roasting them!

Like normal, Lydia HAD to have whatever Pops was eating! She had already had a TON to eat, but she thought she needed more!
More pictures coming soon!!

Ready or Not ... Here We Come!

We are headed down to deer camp this afternoon ... and it may never be the same again! =) Last year Lydia was just starting to try to crawl and slept quite a bit. Well, this year will be a different story! She will be into everything! I'm looking forward to watching her experience being out in the country and all that there is to do!

Reedee outfitted Lydia for the trip in some new "Buck Girl" clothes! Here she is modeling them!

These overalls are PRECIOUS on her! I love the big pink buttons!
"Girls Hunt 2"!

Cheeeese!!

She will be warm and cozy in this hooded sweatshirt! It even has little pockets! Too cute!

I have finally learned how to make hair bows! I've been wanting to try for a long time, but have just been scared to try. So last week my friend Maeghan and I decided to see what we could do! I can't stop making them ... I feel like I'm becoming addicted! I've been having way too much fun with it! Saturday I was going to put Lydia in her new halloween outfit. I decided she needed an orange bow ... so I made her one! Then, last night while Jeff was working I decided I would make her a camo bow for deer camp and ended up making 4! Here are the 2 camo ones ...

The one on the bottom is made out of t-shirt material (the same material as one of her shirts).
We are really looking forward to being away for a few days and spending some time with Pops and Reedee! Praying that Jeff (and Pops and Reedee!) will get a deer! We are out of deer meat and it makes such good chili and soup! Be ready for lots of pictures and stories when we get back!

Rain Rain Go Away ...

I was able to keep our niece, Eden, on Tuesday and we had the best time! Unfortunately, it rained ALL day long! We are so ready for some sunny days that we can get out and enjoy before winter hits!

The girls longing to go out and play ...
if you look closely you can see the "pond" on our sidewalk!
Sweet girls!

Eden had a blast riding on Lydia's horse! This is the face that she makes when you tell to say "Cheese!" Too cute!

The girls about to give each other a kiss! They were so funny about hugging and kissing!

Lydia was too funny about Eden riding her horsey. She didn't care that Eden was on it, but she would sit on the rocker so that she couldn't move much! Thankfully Eden didn't seem to mind! And it made for a cute picture!

The girls started playing "peek-a-boo" through the crack in the front door!

They were hilarious!

They were giggling so hard!
Lydia and I had the best time with Eden! Can't wait until we can get together and play! Hopefully it will be soon!

Our Lil stAte Girl!

Jeff and I decided that we wanted Lydia to be an ASU cheerleader for Halloween, but didn't want to pay $50 or more for an outfit that she would not get any wear out of. So, I asked my Grandmother if she would make Lydia an outfit if I found a pattern and she said yes! So Lydia and I headed to Searcy and we went shopping for fabric and a pattern and found exactly what I was looking for! Grandmother worked her magic and turned out the cutest little outfit!
The Red Wolves played on ESPN2 last night, so Lydia wore her outfit to cheer them on! Even though they didn't win ... they put up a good fight and Lydia looked adorable!

On, On, On to victory
Brave team your second to none

Lets make this game history
Along with the others we've won

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! with all your might
So that the world may see that

RED W-O-L-V-E-S means Victory!
GO stAte!!

Whew ... that was hard work!
I know Jeff can not wait until he can take Lydia to her first ASU game! For now, he'll enjoy watching them on TV with her!

What To Do On A Rainy Day ...

Change sheets and do laundry! =) We took advantage of a rainy day and caught up on some housework. Lydia is such a trooper and loves to help out. With the weather we've been having, if I cleaned everyday it was rainy we would have a spotless house! ;) Lets just say that hasn't been happening! Haha!

Lydia holding on to her sheets while I take out her bumper pad and mattress.

Ahh ... who doesn't love clean sheets?!?

Whoa! Look at all that pink stuff! Bet you can guess who's laundry it is!

She discovered her blanket, Mollie, and blankie in the wash! She was super excited!

Trying to get it all! =)
I love having a little helper! As stated before, it takes twice the amount of time to get stuff done, but totally worth every extra minute spent!
