"Wanna Bite?!?"

While we were in Searcy, we made a trip to Lydia's favorite place .. Fro-Yo! This is the neatest place and has to be one of my favorite places too! Love being able to get whatever flavors I want, how much I want ... and the best part, whatever toppings I want! It's awesome!

Is that not the sweetest smile on her face?!? She is eyeing Granna's cup of frozen yogurt!

This is how she asks for a bite ...

Is she not hilarious?!?

And of course ... she gets what she wants! A bite of Granna's yogurt!

Love this picture!! She loves her Granna!

Lydia was so sweet when she was going to sleep Saturday night. She was laying in her bed and looked up at me and said, "Thank you Mommy for taking me to get fro-yo. I love you, Mommy!" She sure knows how to melt my heart!

Quick Trip

We had not been to Searcy in 4 weeks ... so we decided to make a quick trip this past weekend to visit. We knew it would be a couple more weeks before we had a free weekend and Lydia was missing Searcy! So glad that we went! We had a lot of fun and Lydia kept asking to go back all day yesterday. She was pretty bummed after church when we told her we were going home, not back to Granna's. Thankfully, we'll be able to go back soon!

 Nice, huh?!?
I went in to check on Lydia Friday night after she went to sleep and this is what I found! Guess she got hot ... or something! Hah!

After her nap Saturday afternoon, we went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather! Jeff and Lydia took a little walk/hike through the woods to find this little pond. Of course, Lydia LOVED going with her Daddy! They both came back with walking sticks and she was laughing and smiling from ear to ear!

Hopefully this spring, we will be able to take her fishing in this little pond and see if there are any fish in there. She's been talking about going fishing for several weeks now. Hopefully she will enjoy it as much as Jeff!

Taste of Spring?

Last Thursday, the weather was beautiful! So, after Lydia's nap we went outside to get a little fresh air and run off some energy! She was so excited when I told her we were going outside to play. Seems like it's been so long since we've been able to.

First we went for a little walk around the neighborhood! She wasn't a fan at first because she just wanted to play, but she enjoyed checking everything out on our walk. I loved it ... Can't wait for the weather to get warm and stay warm so we can go on walks more often. I miss it!

By the time we got back, the sun was not shining in the front yard, so we got Lydia a hat and she was off!

She was so proud of herself for using her pedals! She's not a huge fan of them ... hopefully that will get better before long. Riding a bike is not going to be very easy without using the pedals!

 Love this sweet girl!

"Digging" in the yard!

She loves being outside and I can't stand having to tell her almost on a daily basis that it's too cold to go outside. The weather was beautiful all weekend, so thankfully we were able to spend some more time outside. Now it's turning cold and supposed to rain, sleet, and snow. Guess it was just a little tease ...

15 Weeks!

Here is a side by side picture of me 15 weeks with Lydia and 15 weeks with the new baby. I feel was feeling like I was a lot bigger this time around, but looking at these pictures I don't guess that I was! I do however look just as tired in both of them! Hah!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 15 Weeks
Size of baby: about 4 inches (the size of an apple) and about 2 1/2 ounces
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 5 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Wearing maternity jeans because they are so much more comfortable! Some maternity shirts but some regular.
Gender: Can't wait to find out! Hopefully first part of March!
Movement: Nothing yet ...
Sleep: I'm sleeping better than I was. Have to get up several times a night to use the bathroom. =(
What I miss: Energy! Hopefully it's starting to come back! Some days are better than others, but it seems like the last few days I've been completely drained. Not easy to keep up with Lydia and have no energy! I'm trying though.
Cravings: No real cravings yet. Not really wanting many sweets ... which is unusual for me!
Symptoms: Tiredness
Best Moment this week: Sleeping better.

I asked Jeff to take my picture, and Lydia said "Take my picture, Daddy!". He told her he was taking a picture of Mommy's belly and she said "Take picture of my belly" and proceeded to pull up her shirt and stand where I stood! Guess this may be a weekly thing! Hah!

I however will not be putting a picture of my bare belly on the blog! Hah!

I've felt pretty good this week. I've been more tired this week than I have lately, but guess that's just part of it! Some days/weeks will be better than others! I am really looking forward to my doctor's appointment next week. Ready to hear this little baby's heart beat again! Sometimes I wish that I could just get a little peek and see what's going on in there!

Project Life Tuesday - Week 3

I'm a little late in starting this ... but I am going to TRY my hardest to participate in this. The goal is to take 1 picture a day to chronicle your year. I'm excited about it! So ... here goes nothing!

Lydia modeling her "Big Sister" dress for the big announcement!

Was trying to get a picture of Lydia's new haircut after her hair was freshly washed and dried. This was the best I could get! Hah! I'm loving the new cut though. I am going to grow it out, but it looks so good now that it's even and straightened out!

Enjoying her Froot Loops with her ducky!

Love her face in this picture! We were playing with her stamps she got from Eden for Christmas and she was pressing down SO hard on the ink pad! Her little hands and face were shaking!

We had a REALLY good day on Friday and celebrated by letting Lydia pick where she wanted a treat from. Of course, we knew it would either be ice cream or a donut and she picked a donut! She saw the ladybug donut and HAD to have it! She ate every last bite of it!

Jeff and Lydia waiting on the monkey bread to cook Saturday morning. They were cuddled up watching Lydia's new favorite movie ... Bambi!

*Yes, I know ... Lydia is in her pajamas in most of these pictures! But, it's been SO stinkin' cold and silly girl does not keep her socks on. Thankfully, she loves wearing her feety pajamas!*

Back To The Library!

Between sickness, Christmas, being out of town, and weather ... It's been a LONG time since we've been to story time at the library. Lydia was so excited last week when I told her that we were going, and then I realized that it was MLK day. She was so bummed and kept asking all day when we were going to story time. Thankfully, today we were able to go!

All ready to go with our BIG bag to fill up with books!
**Thanks Mom for the perfect bag!! It's been wonderful for SO many different things! I love it!**

We got there a little early, so we played with some puzzles before it started.

 This girl LOVES puzzles!

After story time is over, they put out some little toys that the kids can play with if they want.

Lydia spotted this toy and played with it forever!! She was so funny with it!

Back at home with our bag FULL of books! I even got a book this time!! Can't wait to start reading! We read all but one of Lydia's before nap and she loved them all. Love snuggling up on the couch with her and reading. One of our favorite activities! Hopefully we can get back on a regular schedule of our weekly library trips!

Random

I had a bunch of random pictures so I decided to do just a random post!! =)

We took Lydia to her first basketball game a little over a week ago. A friend from our small group coaches the high school girl's at Bauxite, so we went to cheer them on! Lydia was so excited about going!!

She did so well at the game! She loved getting a bag of popcorn to share with Daddy!

Mimi and Papa have this Razorback hat at their house and Lydia thinks it's so silly! She puts it on and just giggles! It's so cute!

I finally found my house shoes and Lydia loves to wear them around the house and say that she's skating! She does this when we are at Granna's house with my mom's house shoes and has the best time! She does this little kick thing when she is done and it's hilarious!

We had a REALLY good day on Friday and wanted to get out of the house so we went to eat pizza and took Lydia to get a treat. She wanted a donut, so we went to Krispy Kreme! We LOVE that place!

Love this girl!!

Lydia's BIG News!!

Lydia is going to be a BIG sister this summer! =) We are so excited and thankful! I am due July 20th and we are praying that this little baby will decide to wait until closer to his/her due date to be born and not come really early like Lydia!

After going through an early miscarriage in early October we wanted to wait before we told everyone until I was in my second trimester. We've been able to hear the heartbeat twice now and everything seems to be going well. My last appointment the baby's heartbeat was 160 and the doctor said "It's another girl!" because of the high heartbeat. We can not wait to find out for sure though!

I've been very blessed so far by not being too sick. That is a HUGE blessing! I've been extremely tired and have had zero energy, but that seems to be getting better daily. Thankfully Jeff was off work during the worse part of it, so he was here to help out with Lydia and I was able to just take it easy and sleep when I needed. He is an amazing husband and father!

Lydia acts like she's excited when we talk about her becoming a big sister and we are praying that she will adjust well. We know she has NO clue what's going to happen! As of right now she is saying she wants a baby sister when asked ... we'll have to wait until the first part of March to find out!

Lydia's First Haircut ... Finally!

Yes .. Lydia will be 3 (I can't hardly believe it!!) 2 months from tomorrow and she is JUST NOW having her first hair cut! It took so long for her to start to get hair I've been putting off cutting it for the longest time! It looks so pretty when it's freshly washed and dried ... but once she's slept on it, it would start to look really ratty. So, I finally took her to get it cut.

A friend of mine in our small group cuts my hair and I'm so thankful she could cut Lydia's. Lydia did GREAT! She was not a fan when we first got there, but once she found out she could sit in my lap and got a HUGE tootsie roll pop she was fine. Here are our pictures from the day!

Lauren gave her this cute little certificate with the first cut of hair in it. Lydia was so excited about it and wanted to hold it the whole way home!

Once we left, Lydia kept asking to go back and get her hair cut again! So I guess she didn't mind it as much as I have been dreading!

** You'll have to excuse her silly faces in the pictures. She woke up this morning with a gunked up nose and can hardly breathe. Praying that she feels better soon! **

What To Do??

We had so much fun being snowed in together! Lydia keeps us entertained, so we did not have much to worry about! We spent a lot of time playing games, cooking, running around, reading and goofing off! It was a fun couple of days.

Getting ready to play her Kai-Lan Matching Game.

Me and my little run away!

She loves playing Candy Land. Her attention span is not very long and it's the perfect length game!

For the longest time she did not like to ride on any one's shoulders ... Well, now she LOVES it! She will go up to Jeff and say "I want to ride on your big back!"! It's so cute! They are looking at all the pictures of her playing in the snow.

We made snow cream one night and it was AMAZING! Jeff had never had it before and was a little leery at first ... but once he took one bite he was hooked! He said if he had not known he would have thought he was eating home made ice cream!

Lydia was a little leery at first too!

But she finished one bowl and asked for more!!

Yesterday we needed to run to the mall and Target so we stopped at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Lydia loved getting to play at the playground for a little bit and then having a little lunch date! She LOVED this caterpillar that one of the guys made for her!!
