The BIG Move-Part 1

What a fun weekend! We went to Searcy on Friday to help my mom move into her new house! She and my aunt have built a house and it is finally finished! Friday night, we moved the beds and stayed in the house...and Saturday the rest of the furniture was moved! It was a long and busy day, but a lot of fun!

Lydia showed off her new trick while we were there! She's never climbed stairs before and hasn't really been around them too much, but somehow she has learned to climb them! I put her down on the floor at the bottom of the stairs and she took one look at them and off she went! She is a pro at it! She looked like she had been climbing them for 6 months! It was crazy! She LOVED climbing them too, which is really scary for me! Anytime she could get away she would head straight for the stairs. Uncle Craig's room is upstairs, so I'm thinking she just wanted to spend some time with him! =) Guess it's time to put the baby gate up!
Here are a few pictures of her climbing the stairs...sorry there's so many! But it's like she tells a story when she's climbing them!

"Okay, is everybody watching??"

"Come on! Follow me!"

"Fine, I'll just go by myself..."

"Hey Mom, how did you get up here so fast?"

"Granna, are you coming??"
"Okay, lets go!"
"I love you Uncle Craig!"
"I'm gonna beat you!!"
**By the way...Lydia does have 2 feet! For some reason that foot always gets caught up in her overalls!
Here are a few pictures of her first bath in Granna & GiGi's bathtub! GiGi has a cool fish bathmat and fish toys that she let Lydia play with! She loved them...and of course all the attention while she was in the tub!
"Dad, I don't have any clothes on!"

Whoohoo!! Check out that hair! It's finally growing!
We had so much fun...and are headed back next Sunday after church to get ready for "The Big Move-Part 2"! Betty's moving up on Monday, so we are going to be there through Tuesday to help her with her stuff! We are ready to go back and play already!
For some reason, neither one look too happy with me!
Ahh...that's better! She loves her Uncle Craig!
It was kind of sad moving all of Mom's stuff out of the house that we basically grew up in! So many fun memories were made there! But, we are looking forward to all the fun memories that we are going to make in the new house!!

Stinky Runny Nose!

We went to the doctor today for Lydia's last RSV shot (YEA!! I am so glad that those are over! It was so hard to take her every month for a shot! But we are thankful that she didn't get RSV!) and he said that her ears and throat looked fine and that she was probably fighting a virus last week when she had a fever. So now, we are just fighting sneezing and a runny nose. It really just started today and her little nose is already raw. I feel so bad for her! We have some medicine that the doctor gave us a couple of months ago and told us to use it if her nose got gunky again...so we've started using that. Hopefully that will help!
She pulled EVERY SINGLE book out! This girl loves to read!
Getting a little cuddle time in with Daddy!
Yesterday Pops and Reedee came over to play. Lydia had so much fun with them!

Lydia LOVES Reedee's purse! She discovered her cell phone and lipstick! I don't know that I've ever seen the girl sit in one spot for so long!

Trying to call someone...

"Hello...is anyone there?"

Sad the lighting was messed up...oh well!

Lydia has started to do so good with using a sippy cup! She is still taking a bottle at night before bed (which she pants after when she sees it...she sounds like a little puppy dog!!), but other than that she is only drinking from a sippy cup. Tonight she had the last of her formula, so she will be on whole milk all the time. She's been drinking milk during the day and formula before bed...but not anymore! She's just growing up too fast!
"Look Mommy, I can do it one handed!"
Lydia is still not walking, but she is taking more and more steps everyday! It won't be long...

She's very inquisitive...always trying to figure everything out!

Stay tuned...more birthday party pictures coming soon! =)

Finally Feeling Better....I Hope!

Lydia has been running a fever since Wednesday, with no other symptoms. It's been a long few days, but hopefully she's getting better. This morning her temperature was almost back to normal. I have felt so bad for her...I know how miserable running a fever can make you feel. She's been a trooper though! =)

She loves this little bear Aunt Pammie got her for her birthday!

Check out those teeth! She has 7, and is working on another!

She has taken a few more steps. Yesterday I was putting away her books, and I looked back and she was walking towards me! It was so cute to see her walking...but kind of weird! Doesn't seem like she should be walking yet! The past year has flown by!

Here are some pictures from the past few days...

Her new game...emptying her hat & bow baskets...several times a day!

She wasn't in the mood for having her picture made...but looked so cute in her headband Grandmother made her!

Now going after the bow basket!
Something else that she has started doing, is putting her toys, bows and books away. Can't wait until she does it all the time! Ha! I figure once she really figures out how to do it...and that is what she is supposed to do, she won't want to do it anymore! Oh well! =)

Lydia and the Daffodils

Last Friday, Jeff had off so we took Lydia to Wye Mountain to get some pictures with the daffodils. It was a beautiful day, and Lydia loved it up there! I'm glad that we went when we did, because a lot of the blooms had already fallen off! I guess next year we will have to try to get up there a little earlier.

We took a ton of pictures, but I'll try to just post a few! It's so hard to pick out pictures of her! =)

She loves her Daddy

Walking through the flowers with Daddy

I think I'll pick this one!

Mommy's little princess

This picture made me cry when I saw it ( I know, I'm a cry baby!). I love how it looks like they are having a little conversation!

Where's Lydia?

We switched Lydia to a "big girl car seat" and she LOVES it! We do too! I love being able to see her easier and interact with her more. She loves to watch every little thing that we do! It's so cute! Here are a couple of pictures from the first time she rode facing forward.

Not too sure about this (or maybe she was still a little over stimulated from the birthday party!)

It didn't take her long to figure out she was going to really like facing forward!

The weather has been so nice lately. Lydia and I have tried to get out and enjoy the weather during the day. Since we don't have any shade in the backyard, we've been going out front and playing some. She loves to be outside and of course loves watching the kids ride their bikes and the cars go by! She is such a people person! Here are a few pictures from us playing the other day.

Love this little skirt on her!

Mommy, can I see the camera?

Not the best picture, but a little side note...Lydia has started to take a few steps every once in a while! It won't be long before she's EVERYWHERE!

Lydia at One!

Lydia's 12 Month Stats

Weight - 21.7 pounds
Length - 31 3/4 inches
Head - 18 1/4

**She was not a fan of anyone touching her the day that we went to the doctor...so measuring her was not easy. Not sure how accurate her length and head measurements are! Oh well!

She's grown so much in the past year! Here is a picture of her the night we came home from the hospital....

And here she is a year later!

You would never guess by looking at her that she was premature! We are so thankful that she's done so well and has completely caught up!

Here are Lydia's favorite things at 12 Months:

**She loves to read her books

**Music is another one of her favorite ways to pass the time. When I sing a song to her, she is able to find the toy that plays that song. It's so fun!

**She is not walking yet, but has wonderful balance. She will stand up on her own, in the middle of the floor, and stay there forever. She can squat down and stand back up...all she needs is a little confidence and she'll be gone!

**She loves to dance to music. She either twists back and forth and "bops" her head, or she gets on her hands and knees and goes front and back. It's too cute!

**She is sleeping through the night for the most part. Only waking up to find her paci.

**She likes to wake up early...maybe one day that will change!

**She has 7 teeth (four on the top, three on the bottom)

**She is a wonderful eater! Right now her favorites are cheese, ravioli, and applesauce.

**One of my favorite things about Lydia is her personality. She is such a happy baby and a little social butterfly! She LOVES watching people and waves to everyone we see.

Lydia came into our life in a whirlwind...and it has not slowed down since, and we could not be happier! We are head over heels in love with her! We are excited to see what the next year holds for us! A lot of fun and new memories!!

Happy Birthday Princess!

Ready for some cake!

In her birthday dress my grandmother made for her

Our baby girl is 1! It's hard to believe! We had such a wonderful time at her birthday party on Saturday. It was fun to visit and spend the afternoon with all of our family! We were so thankful that all of her great grandparents, grandparents, and most of her aunts and uncles...and even a few cousins were able to be there! It made the day even more special! Lydia seemed to really enjoy herself and was in a great mood! She did good opening presents for a while, and then she was ready to check everything out! :) She got a ton of new books, which she has enjoyed reading more and more each day. She LOVES them! She got a lot of cute cute spring/summer clothes and I know she is excited to be able to wear them! She is constantly getting into her closet and looking at them!

Us with the beautiful flowers from Reedee

Here is a slide show of a few pictures from the party.

Hopefully I will have some better pictures of her eating the cake when Craig gets a little break and can send them to me. She was very lady-like with her cake...didn't dig in like we thought she might! She only ate a little bit, and then she was done. Luckily we didn't have any trouble with her being on a sugar high!

Lydia's cake with some of the sugar cookies

Mom and I made and decorated her cookies...and had a blast doing it! I'm so glad that she came down to help! Made it even more fun...and of course I would have been up all night had she not been here! Thanks Mom!! :) I'm already planning her party for next year! :)
Lydia- We can not believe that it's been a year since you were born, You are such a blessing to us. We can not imagine what life would be like without you in it! You fill each day with surprises and tons of excitement! We love you so much baby girl!
