1 Tooth Down ...

Lydia left for school with a mouth full of teeth ...

And came home like this ...

Thankfully it wasn't dramatic for her! She said it fell out during snack time at school! =) She went to the nurses office and she gave her a little green treasure box to put her tooth in to bring it home.

I was a little late in ordering her tooth fairy pillow, but thankfully it will be here tomorrow! =)

Loving the Weekends

I've always looked forward to the weekends because that means that Jeff is home and we can spend time together as a family. Ever since school started I've looked forward to the weekend even more! I've really been missing Lydia here lately. She's gone most of her waking hours and it makes me sad. =( Not sure why it took 6 weeks of school for it to really hit, but seems like here lately it's been worse! Guess I'll get used to it one day. =/

Jeff had a late night shooting football Friday night, so I took these 2 munchkins to get donuts so he could sleep in peace. If they find out he's at home, they want him awake and playing with them. =) I don't blame them, but also know that he wants to be somewhat rested so he can enjoy the weekend with them. They were of course excited to go and get donuts ... disappointed that daddy didn't go with us, but it didn't keep them from enjoying their donuts! Hah!

I love these 2 ... and obviously they love each other! Love her looking at him ...

And him looking at her ... =)

Lydia had a soccer game later in the morning and she did great! I didn't get any pictures though. Jack Henry wasn't a fan of sitting in the stroller during the game. Not that I blame him ... It was hot and poor guy was sweating like crazy. Thankfully Papa and then Jeff went with him and let him kick the ball and run around. He had a blast!

After naps and baths, it was time to celebrate Harper's 2nd Birthday. It's hard to believe that she's already turning 2! She had the cutest Minnie Mouse birthday party!

She was precious opening her presents. She loved every single thing that she opened and the look on her face was adorable!

Love this little girl and her family!

Me and my little side kick dressed in green stripes (totally not planned!).

I walked in the bathroom and couldn't help but laugh at Lydia! She had her pants pulled WAY up, which made her already too short pajama pants even shorter, her shirt tucked into her pants and her new funky socks on. She's such a mess!

Sunday was the perfect nap day! It was cloudy and kind of rainy. After we woke up, Lydia had fun making a fun fall tree with paints and q-tips.

Spirit Week

Lydia got to experience her first spirit week and had so much fun! She was into dressing up every day and went to bed excited about the next day! Here's a little recap of our week .. =)

I thought she might not go for wearing her clothes inside out, but she just went with it!! No questions asked! =) Not just anyone can look cute with their clothes on inside out. ;)

She got this camo shirt for Christmas last year and finally had a reason to wear it! I had planned on getting her monogram on it, but never got around to it. She looks pretty stinkin' cute in it ... think I better get it done! ;)

Rockin' the camo  ... even had camo shoes!

Hair prep the night before ...

When I looked at her after I got her all dressed I had major flashbacks of my childhood! I told her I dressed like this all the time and she said she wanted to see pictures! Next time we are at my mom's we are going to have to dig out some pictures. =)

Eating lunch with her friends. Aren't they adorable?!?

One of my favorites! She makes a sweet little cowgirl. =)

Lydia and Annabel walked in at the same time this morning and Annabel's mom snapped a picture and sent. I love it!

This is how her hair was when we picked her up that afternoon. I said we dropped off a cow girl and we picked up Princess Leia! ;)

Tonight's the big Salt Bowl football game against Benton so she's all decked out in her Bryant colors.

Love her hair tie that we found and shirt we had made. I think I may have to go have me a shirt made. ;)

And her new sparkly headband went perfect with her outfit! Yay!

Last update I saw, Benton was dominating the game. Hopefully one year we can go. They play at War Memorial and it's a HUGE deal! Think they were hoping for 30,000 people to be there. CRAZY!

Fall is Here!

Sunday was the first day of Fall and the weather was PERFECT!!

We spent the afternoon after naps outside and had the best time. Lydia and Jack Henry drug just about every toy in the garage out and were covered in chalk by the time we went inside, but it was totally worth it!

Getting a little swinging in after school one day. She loved having Daddy home early enough to play while I finished up dinner.

These 2 love being outside. I wish I had recorded Jack Henry giggling while he was swinging. It is the most precious sound I've ever heard.

These 2 make me so happy!

Pure Sweetness

I wanted to get one good picture of Jack Henry and he put on a show yet again! I love this little guy and his sweet personality! Yes, he is ALL boy and goes NON-STOP when he is awake, but he is such a little sweet heart.

Coming after his piece of candy corn!

We have quickly come to realize that parenting boys and girls is completely different!! So thankful God is giving us a chance at this "boy parenting" thing! Hah!

5 Weeks In

Well ... we have made it through 1/2 of the 1st 9 weeks of Kindergarten. The year is FLYING by! It's crazy! She is still LOVING it and is ready for school EVERY morning. Some days a little too ready!

Week 5 and showin' her love for stAte! Daddy's girl for sure!

Tuesday was Constitution Day so the kids were encouraged to wear Red, White and Blue.

She even wanted her toes to match so we did a quick pedicure before school!

Wednesday she busted into the bathroom saying her tooth hurt. That's when I broke the news to her that she had a loose tooth! She was SO excited. She's been asking when she was going to lose a tooth since a dentist came to her preschool back in the spring. Hopefully this won't be too dramatic of an experience!

Thursday morning she busted up in the bathroom at 6:05 TOTALLY dressed! Even had her shoes on! I try to encourage her to sleep in almost every day and every night, but for some reason she loves hopping out of bed as soon as her eyes open in the morning!

Today was the All Pro Dad breakfast at school and I guess she was so excited about daddy going to eat breakfast with her that she woke up at 5:15!! AHH! Thankfully she made it through the day without passing out!

Headed out the door on a rainy morning nice and early! Not sure who was more excited!

Lydia's teacher sent this picture to me of her peeling an apple to make applesauce. Think she took the job very seriously. She, however, did not like the applesauce. She told me that it tasted yucky! Hah!

Fun Day

Jack Henry and I miss Lydia while she is at school all day long, but we are having fun spending some time together just the 2 of us. He's had to share me all his life, so I think he's enjoying not having to share Mommy (and Daddy when he's home). Today we had a full morning!! We started out the day going to get Jack Henry's hair cut. It was in MAJOR need of a trim ... okay, a good cut! It grows so fast and is so think it starts looking wild very quickly.

He was happy to discover the basket full of toys in the corner in the waiting area.

And of course it took him no time at all to string all of the toys out! =) Thankfully it kept him occupied while we waited for 30 minutes or so. He does so well when he gets his hair cut. He ate his sucker and did exactly what the girl told him to.

After his hair cut, we headed to the library for Toddler StoryTime. Jack Henry was so excited when we pulled up and parked. =)

The first thing he wanted to do was check out the big fish tank. He gets so excited and SO loud at the fish tank. I keep thinking they are going to kick us out of the library, but so far they haven't! Hah!

He gets a little restless during story time, but I think it's because there is so much for him to do there. He loves the songs and loves that he gets to color at the end. =) He really gets into his coloring as you can tell!

After story time was over, we headed to the puzzle area and spent a little time there. He loves doing puzzles and they keep him occupied for quite a while.

 Love this little boy!

After the library, we headed over to Tropical Smoothie for a yummy lunch.

He's a pretty cute lunch date, huh?!? Thankful for some cooler weather and the chance to eat outside. Jack Henry loves watching all the cars go in and out of the parking lot.

I have no words for these pictures other than he is such a ham!! I love that he is starting to smile for pictures. His smile can light up a room! He was cracking me up today. I just wanted 1 good picture and he just kept smiling and cheesing and smiling and cheesing!

What a difference a hair cut makes!! =)
