My Cuties

I love my kiddos. They are my life and make me so happy. Their smile can brighten up any day, no matter how bad or tough it's been. The look on their face when I come back home after being gone (whether a couple hours or a couple days) makes me feel loved and like I'm doing something right. I am SO thankful God chose me to be their mom and that he trusted me with them. It's a HUGE job, but I know that with God on my side, I can do it!

Here are a few pictures from the past few days ... Can you see why they make me so happy?!?

Is this the look of trouble? Or what?!? He was going into our bedroom and he knows he's not supposed to. There is WAY too much for him to get into! He stops right there almost every time and grins until one of us notices ... and the off he goes!

Just chillin' in his Superman pjs.

 LOVE this face!

This little guy loves his bath! He loves to splash, stand up and splash some more.

Their first time riding together in the cart at Sams. It was cute while it lasted. Not long after this Jack Henry started pulling at her hair and hairbow. =) Oh, well!

Eating her apple like Eden. =)
She was so proud of herself!

Her newest obsession outside ... Taking the little stroller out and running up and down the sidewalk. It is hilarious to watch!

All decked out in pink ready for her soccer game!

"Happy BOO to you!"
80* days make it hard to get our Halloween outfits in! She still looked cute!

Fall Fest 2012

Last night we went to Jeff's mom and stepdad's church for their Fall Fest. The kids had SO MUCH fun! I am so glad that they invited us to go. Lydia got to go earlier in the afternoon and play games and go on a hay ride. She loves hanging out with her Mimi and Papa. =)

Not the best picture ... but here we all are. =) It was 80* outside, so Jack Henry didn't get to wear his costume. =( He was dressed like a little preppy boy. ;) Maybe it will cool off by Halloween.

 Flower Child and Fairy Princess
Lydia didn't know what to think about Mimi. Think it took 15 minutes or more before she would even talk to her. =)

Jack Henry keeping an eye on his crazy big sis!

LOVE everything about this picture, except that Jack Henry looks SO big in it. Makes me want to cry. =(

 Aunt Glenda, Lydia and Mimi

 Lydia and Kari

Jack Henry chilling while the big kids were doing trunk treats. This was right before he TOTALLY lost it!

Lydia getting more candy for her stash. =)

We had so much fun and it was so good to see people we hadn't seen in a while.

Lil Trip to the Zoo

We took advantage of a beautiful, windy day and headed to the zoo after lunch today. Love having our zoo pass! Even if we only go for an hour, we don't feel like we've wasted all our money. It's nice with 2 little ones that get tired easily!

Our first stop was the penguins. They are so fun to watch. Lydia was cracking up at them "getting" her booty while she was posing for a picture. =)

Hanging out watching the penguins in his "new" jogging stroller. Think he wanted to jump in and play with them.

Lydia was so excited to feed the fish, only to find out there wasn't any fish food out today. =( Luckily she wasn't down for too long.

Jack Henry couldn't take his eyes off the elephant playing in the dirt. He was zoned out!

Jeff and Lydia posing with the Jack-o-Lantern. She wasn't too sure about it, but I snapped the picture fast and she was out of there!

 Gramma Lydia and Gramps Jeff
=)

 The Cheetas
They were kind of freaking me out. They were pacing that fence like they were getting ready to pounce on something. We were pretty high up watching them, but still made me nervous! Not sure what they were watching, but I was glad to get out of there.

Oh how I wish one of these would stop by my house every morning. Can you imagine getting fresh milk delivered to your door EVERY day?!? Man ... those must have been the days! ;) They way we go through milk, it sure would be nice!

 Is she not the cutest?!?
Love her!

Me with my VERY tired, not feeling well little boy. Can you tell? =(

Look at him go!! He was so sweet wanting to hold my hand while he walked. He tires out VERY easily and either just plops down or grabs on my leg like he's saying "pick me up". =) So cute!

stAte Homecoming 2012

Go stAte!!
Our little family wearing our Red to support ASU! We love our Red Wolves!

Jeff and I LOVE being able to go to ASU games. It makes for such a great date day and we look forward to any time we can get away just the two of us! This time of year, it's hard to find time for dates, so we love when we get one. =)

Headed out to Jonesboro!

We were hungry when we got into town, so we stopped and got some yummy wings and watched a little college football. After lunch we had some time to kill before we headed out to tailgate, so we did a little "shopping". We didn't buy anything, but enjoyed looking around. It's amazing how much things have changed in Jonesboro just since last year.

After a little shopping and hanging out, we headed out to tailgate and go to the Red Wolf Walk.

HOWL!! Such a fun little mascot!

Coach Gus

It was fun to see all the players walk by and hear every one cheering and encouraging them. The atmosphere at the games is totally different from when we were in school up there.

Love watching football with Jeff. I ask way too many questions and get confused very easily, but he puts up with me and doesn't seem to get bothered. ;) Maybe one day I'll understand everything!

Jeff and his roommates from college. Wish I would have taken a picture of us girls! It's so fun to see our friends from our days at ASU and MBSF. We have so many fun memories from those days and miss being up there around everyone. After the game, we went to get ice cream and ended up sitting outside talking for over an hour and a half. We stayed out WAY too late, but it was totally worth it! Hope we can do it again soon!

It was so nice having the kids stay in Searcy at my mom's house. They had a lot more fun there than they would have had with us!

Just playing a little baseball in the back yard. =)

Building "sand castles" in the dirt.
**Lydia looks WAY too old in this picture. Makes me want to cry. =(**

We had fun cheering our Red Wolves on to victory and can't wait to do it again in a few weeks!!
GO stAte GO!!!

15 Months Old

How is this little guy 15 months old already?? It just doesn't seem right. Every month that goes by I think that, and just can't seem to comprehend how big he is! Love watching his BIG personality start to come out. He is ALL boy, but also the sweetest little cuddle bug. He's perfect. =)

Love this little cheese face!

He still loves his books. He loves to just sit and look through his book box. He loves to drag ALL the books out of the box (or off the bookshelf in the playroom). Thankfully he will help clean up when it's time. =) He won't sit very still to be read to, but we just keep on reading as he's playing and he will come back to listen for a little bit before he's off again.

This was one of my favorite pictures from this month. He has got the SWEETEST little face. I could stare at him all day long! This little phone was a favorite of Lydia's, and now Jack Henry is loving it. He is not liking the car very much right now. We have a basket full of toys in the car, but he goes through them pretty quickly. Hopefully he'll get over this stage quickly! It makes car rides pretty stressful!

He's finally completely done with bottles. =( While I was ready to not have to wash 5 bottles every night, makes me sad that he's getting so big. He loves his sippy cup and milk, just like Lydia. He can down a cup of milk SO fast.

He decided recently that he wanted us to put his plate on his tray so he could feed himself. He does really well with it, until he is done. Once he's finished eating, he thinks it's a good idea to dump his plate ... whether it's full or empty. =/ Guess he'll outgrow this too?!? ;)

Some of his favorite foods are:
Chicken
Grilled Cheese
Peanut Butter & Jelly
Hamburgers
Green Beans
Beans
Lima Beans
Corn
Apples
Grapes
Oranges
Bananas
Waffles
Yogurt
Cheerios
Raisins

He's a really good eater and will pretty much eat anything we give him. So thankful for that and praying he stays that way! 2 picky eaters would not be fun! =)

 One sleepy boy ...
When he gets tired ... he starts sucking his thumb and cuddling with his monkey or blankie. It's the sweetest thing ever! He's still sleeping really well. He goes to bed at 7:00 and sleeps most mornings until 6:30 or so. We are praying that he will start to sleep in a little bit, especially when he drops his morning nap. He is still napping 2x a day. About 1 hour in the morning and at least 2 hours in the afternoon.

 15 Month Stats:

Weight - 27 lbs 11 oz (86%)
Length - 33 3/4 inches (97%)
Head - 19 1/2 inches (96%)

See his BIG personality!! =)
He is constantly cracking us up and keeping us on our toes. He is ONE busy little guy!! He is into everything and goes non-stop. I don't have a good picture yet, but he started walking this week! I was getting worried about him, but guess I had nothing to worry about
Jack Henry loves his Daddy and Lydia so much. Jeff takes Lydia to school on Monday and Wednesday mornings and this is where you will find Jack Henry ... waiting on them to pull out of the drive way so he can watch them drive off. It's the sweetest thing ever! He just stares out the door and does some sort of little whining noise. He misses them while he is gone, but I really enjoy my one-on-one time with him!

We are so thankful for Jack Henry and have truly been blessed by him. He brings so much joy and excitement into our family. We pray that God will guide us as we raise him and that he will become a godly little boy, who thens becomes a godly young man. We love him so much!!

Fall Fun

I have always thought I was a summer girl, but I think I am slowly becoming more of a fall girl! Maybe it's the HOT summers we've been having ... who knows! I have been looking forward to cooler weather, sweaters, being able to play outside without breaking a sweat, etc. Cooler weather is finally here and we are loving it!

We took a little trip to the park on a Friday and had the best time!

Lydia finally LOVES to swing. It took her until she was almost 4, but now it's her favorite thing to do. We've got to get her to learn how to swing on her own though!

This little guy LOVES the swing. He just giggles and smiles the whole time. It's adorable!

Me with my little boy ... who is looking less and less like a baby every day. It's making me sad. =(

 Hanging with my little guy

Lydia sharing her dinner with Genny the Giraffe. She even gave Genny her own sippy cup. ;)

Bundled up watching Lydia at soccer practice. Hopefully he'll get used to having a hat on his head soon! Having to put it back on every 5 seconds gets old REALLY fast!

Our little soccer star! She DOMINATED playing one-on-one at practice! She was showing all the boys up! She was pretty proud of herself. Now if she would only do that during the games! =)

Playing an intense game of bean bag toss at the Missionary Baptist Seminary Picnic.

Enjoying the picnic with my little side kick.

Favorite part of going to the library for this little girl ... playing on the computer!
