Fall Baking!

We spent Saturday afternoon baking fall treats and had the best time! First we made pumpkin cream cheese muffins! YUMMY! Lydia loved helping make them! She's such a great little helper in the kitchen!

Check out all the spices that went in!!

Lydia and Daddy taking a break while the mixer is doing all the work!

Very patiently waiting for the mixer to get finished!

She loved putting the muffin cups in the pan and helping fill them up!

Putting cream cheese in the middle of each muffin. She loved getting to lick her fingers off when we were done! Hah! She's just like her mommy! =)

While the muffins were baking, we tried to make mini carmel apples.

Lydia unwrapping the carmels. She did so great at this! She sat there and undid every single one of them ... I was shocked!

Dipping the carmel apples in the sprinkles. She LOVED having a big bowl of sprinkles in front of her! She could not keep her hands out of them!

 Mmm ... check those out!!

We are going to have to try this again. The carmel would not stick to the apples. Not sure what I did wrong, but we are going to make another attempt and see what happens! They tasted really good ... just didn't look very pretty!

Lydia FINALLY getting to eat one of her pumpkin muffins! She woke up from her nap asking for one, not realizing that we had to make them and bake them! Hah! =)

Looking forward to more fun baking days with Lydia! One of my favorite things to do and I hope she will love it too!

What a fun day!!
Did you microwave the caramel or put it on the stovetop? I did the stove and didn't have a problem with it not sticking. You have to hold it up in the air and let it air dry before putting it on the wax paper, I do know that from messing up.
Either way, it looked tons of fun!!
